Idea for the apprentice toker.

If you are the type of stoner who enjoys building his/her own bongs and pipes then this is a good idea for you.

Materials:
1 Highlighter
1 square inch of tin foil
some electrical tape
A drill tool bit
thumbtack or needle

Take the highlighter and hollow it out. So pop the thing off the end of the hiighlighter and take out the ink. Then take off the cap and pull the actual marker out of the tube.
Once it is hollow wash the highlighter tube out thouroughly with hot water.
The take the tin foil and wrap it neatly around the wide end of the tube.
Then take some electrical tape and tape the tinfoil so its stuck on the wide end of the highlighter tube.
Then poke small holes in the tin foil. This is your filter
Next place the tool bit on top of the highlighter tube and grab some electrical tape.
Then wrap the electrical tape around both the highlighter tube and the drill tool bit so they are stuck together.
And you should end up with something that looks like this,

The filter/bowl





This can be used as a bowl for a homemade bong, or it can have an elbow put on it so it a pipe. The method also does not burn any plastic.

It's not bad, personally I wouldn't use tin foil for the bowl it can't be good for you... but good guide

I use a bamboo piece I made about 7 years ago, just doing my part to keep this world a greener place!!! haha but like if you use that the flame can get down into the plastic...foil is never a good idea, making a pipe to use on a regular basis like this is not good imo.

I prefer to just cut the middle part of a soda can, roll it into a cone and then tape it onto the end of a hollowed out BIC pen - perfect for a makeshift slide. So long as the hole at the bottom of the cone is small enough, no need for a filter at all. If you roll the cone right, you won't have to worry about burning any paint off of the can either, just make sure there's no excess can rolled into the cone and you're good to go, stick that shit in a water bottle.

Of course, I prefer glass.

Ya but on the inside of the can there is a chemical on the aluminum that keeps the aluminum from corroding from the acidic soda.

This device is not made to be used multiple times. Tin foil if burned for a short time will not release toxic fumes, however if it is over burned then ya your get fumes, but overall tinfoil is less worse for you than pop cans.
