nah, not rude at all, as far as money i havn't asked for mine back, just trying to let people know the situation, i mean your local small time dealer is getting more screwed than you in a way, since they are the ones sitting on a bunch of crap. But you have to protect yourself and your health and your wallet! For me, i'm testing everything i get from now on before i buy.

I live in the north of england, and i thought that was just something going on round here, it started off with sand... and now its getting glass in it too, its amazing how much of the stuff just collects in the bottom of the bag, it does add some serious weight. its the main reason i've just started growing my own. luckily i know a guy who grows it already occasionally so i can get it off him or people he knows, but many people aren't so lucky, and the stuff is absolutely everywhere and has now even made the front page of the local paper as people have ended up in hospital over it.

I live in the west of Scotland and i had this problem over Christmas and into early 2007... Now I've been getting clean stuff and my dealer is happy with what he's getting etc... I think the worst of it has passed here in the UK... theres still some here and there but its not circulating like it was a few weeks back.

I think people have gotten smarter and dealers aren't selling the contaminated bud anymore incase hte classification gets bumped up to B or even A

My advice to my fellow tokers in the states and Canada is to watch out for this stuff... it's nasty... it's hard to spot and it's a fucking waste of money

stay up everyone, stay green, stay wtih good bud

above all stay safe

Yeah the deal's the same here in the West Midlands, thanks to those raids (Operation Keymer I think) there was a desperate shortage of homegrown - and some scumbags took it upon themselves to fill the vacuum with hazaradous goods. Not like the government cares, though. At first they didn't even want to warn the public, saying that 'cannabis is dangerous anyway'...tossers...

Sorry for the double post but I hadn't read the whole thread. What you said about ending up in hospital - this happened to a personal friend of mine after smoking some Ganj from an unscrupulous or unwitting dealer. It triggered a pretty severe asmthatic attack which he hadn't suffered from for 10 years (6 of which he smoked weed for). So it is a very real threat, and the irresponsible and myopic actions of those in power sickens me.

How is your friend now? was he able to recover well?

Thankfully, yes he's out now and at least the overall situation is improving. I talked to him about it and he said he wasn't going to let it put him off his favourite herb so I directed him to this site and that of the UKCIA for information - so hopefully it won't happen again.

I'm from the west of Scotland ( outside Glasgow) I'm sooooo lucky I haven't heard of this shit until now, as most of my friends are growers or know growers personaly I don't think it will affect my smoking habits but still its just plain fuckin wrong why not just bump up the price if there's a shortage ffs they done it with the solid for the last six months!

I have a question....wouldn't using a water bong, filter out the glass or sand or whatever particles they sprayed onto the weed? Seems like the particles would just sink into the water and the smoke from the weed would be the only thing travelling.

IMHO you would still get the smoke/vapirs from the chemicals or whatever they tainted the weed with. (ie: crazy glue)

Yeah, its bs that weed isnt legalized and regulated for this reason, just because people like to get high, means that they have to deal with this harmful stuff.

Yes that is true if they tainted it with chemicals but not sand, glass or fiber glass considering they would sink in the water and it would require a much higher heat to melt them down unlike glue.
