How do you personally keep your spoon bowl clean?

Usually every other month or so i will drop my spoon into ISO in a plastic bag overnight and shake it around and stuff and that cleans the inside pretty well.

The problem is, that operation tends to be kinda stinky.

The main thing causing smell from pipes is the dirty BOWL. Smoking out of a clean/new bowl will immediatly turn the bowl black where the ash was.

How do you keep the bowl of your pipe clean/manageable so it doesnt attract kief and such and be really ashy?

I am likely to be using my gear over the weekend with friends, so I've gotten into the habit of doing a quick iso soak weekly on Friday before I go out. By being proactive you can prevent a lot of problems.

I just ISO and salt it every few times I smoke.

I let that motherfucker get so dirty you can't even hit it. Ha. Bujt all I do every time I clean my hand pipes I just run hot water from the faucet directly into the bowl peice. Set it up good so I'm not making a mess. Let it run for 5 or 10 minutes and most of the resin is gone. Whatever is left can easily be scraped with a paper clip.
Now my bong and slides, for those I clean religiously. Pisses my wife off so bad. But somebodies gotta do it.

I agree. Hand pipes are meant to get dirty imo. Because the resin build up causes the hole to get smaller and helps prevent scoobies without using a screen. Also, when you're dry, you can smoke the resin.

I rinse in hot water before scraping or soaking in iso+salt and then rinse in hot water again.

If you are trying to keep the bowl itself clean I'd reccommend not smoking out of it.

IMO hand pipes smoke better with some resin built up in them. I find the resin in the bowl peace to help hold the weed in place. so i do not keep them very clean.

if you are worried about smell, just stick it in a zip lock.

I really only clean mine if I'm trying to make some resin hash, which I've done twice now. Unless it gets massively dirty, then I'll clean it. Like others have said, I like the resin in the bowl cuz I hate hippie grenades. So a decent amount of resin around the bowl is allllllll gooooooood

when I'm done smoking I drop it in a Ice cream bucket filled with Purple Power.. when I want to use it again I flush real good with hot water and it's as good as new...

Rinse in Sink with Real Hot Water the water also cleans all the Resin out of my Spoon Every-time after several uses i usually rinse it out or when it stinks badly but not every single day or anything that in my opinion would be Very Silly.

i just hit it hard without weed in. its harsh, but you get a nice hit of resin AND it will burn away anything obstructing airflow
