When will the Detroit Lions become great again?

Give them 2011-2013. Matthew Stafford is going to be one of the best in the league, he's already great but with the current offensive line that is the Lions, it doesn't show.

They have a loooong way to go.

At least they have a decent coach there now.

They are looking more promising than they have in years that for sure. Calvin johnson is one of the best in my opinion and I like stafford. Also Jim Schwartz is a good coaching choice. Way better than the last 4 schmucks.

looonggg way to go, I honestly dont think stafford is as good as everyone thinks.. then again he does play for the lions. I would say they need another barry sanders and a .500 season too

Stafford is the next coming of Jeff George. Take it from a UGA fan that watched him throw into double/triple coverage countless times. I hope I'm wrong and wish him the best, but I don't see him leading the Lions to any winning seasons.

Were they ever really "Great'? They had a few good years in the 50's but that was before the Super Bowl.

About 1993-99 were their best years. In '92 They were 12-4 and almost made it to the Superbowl until Washington beat them

they are trying to do the right things. im not sure if they'll be great but they could be a solid team in a few years.
