Re: Baseball

Nice to see the Phils bust out the brooms on the Mets, but the Mets are fucking garbage right now. Granted, we haven't been playing well at all either lately, however, at least we have a lineup. Their lineup right now is straight swiss cheese; holes all over the place.

I'll be more interested when/if Reyes, Delgado and Beltran return. For now though, I'm more concerned with the Marlins.

Re: Baseball

Mariners are 5-4 on the road against the Dodgers, Yankees, and Red Sox. Very impressive to have a winning record on the road agaisnt the three best teams in baseball, especially for a team that lost 101 games last year. It is amazing for this team to be in contention near the break. I dont really even know why we are winning so much more, other than Griffey, who is way better than I thought he would be (I thought he would be past his prime).

Re: Baseball

I'm getting emotional over this score

The Sox offense is dormant, but Smoltz wasn't exactly overpowering either

On the other hand, that double play by J-Bay is probably going to be a web gem on Baseball Tonight

Biggest victory in 115 years? Check.
Biggest offensive output in 24 years? Check.

Re: Baseball

Don Orsillo: Ortiz to right field! Through the wind and very gone!
Dennis Eckersley: Cahill thinks he can follow that pitch up with a piece of cheese, but oh no...

Big Papi with a nice three-run johnson, hopefully Wake gets his 11th win
