Re: Baseball

I said it all along...the Rays are the 06 Tigers. A team nobody thought would make the playoffs, beat the big teams (Yankees, BoSox), then choke in the World Series with bad pitching and no runs.

Re: Baseball

looks like Hamels is wiped off the board, now it becomes a battle of the 'pens to finish up game 5.

Re: Baseball

Bud Selig sucks. Baseball sucks for decisions like this...only once in baseball HISTORY has a postponenent ever happened. Now Philly gets fucked with no Hamels.

I wonder what would have happened if the Rays never scored...

Re: Baseball

Kinda looked like they were waiting for as long as they could to let the Rays score, which was the right decision in my opinion. Ya'know, the Phillies have had the bases loaded over 20 times in these playoffs & have only scored off of that a couple times, the Rays have tried their best to hand it to the Phills...I'm not sure either team wants it. No killer instinct here at all, its hard to watch, so far the best part was watching the rain, & Crawford steeling a base with the backstroke.

I respectfully disagree here. Both Managers, Selig, grounds crew, weathermen were all in on the decision to play. Everyone agreed that they should try to get the game in.

you gotta give em props though for hitting the ball in those conditions. Rainy with wind blowing towards the box at the back of the pitcher favors the pitcher in every way.

Agreed. This series is painful to watch at times. The phils can't bring in men in scoring position, and the rays seem to only pick up RBI's on infield groundouts or sac fly. I love the long ball as much as the next guy, but i love the excitement of a runner trying to score from second on a shallow base hit to right or something along those lines. Clutch hitting defines the post-season (hence why a-rod sucks).

Re: Baseball

Well, its over & done. Congratulations to the Phillies & their fans.

Poor Rays, never again.....well, maybe many many years from now we might hear about them again, but I doubt it, hehe.

Lets see how many players head's swell up after the WS & demand more money or to be traded.

Re: Baseball

I hate baseball! It is the most un athletic sport ever created. You can be over weight and still be an all star in the league. All it takes is some steroids and your in the MLB.
