The Yanks looked good in their season opening series, not great, but good enough the beat the Blue Jays who a lot of people have pegged to make a run at the playoffs this year (I don't think it's gonna happen). They beat Roy Halladay, maybe the best pitcher in the American League, on the season opener and lost to a very good A.J. Burnett. It is goint to be a fun summer in the AL East.

P.P.S Detriot? I mean.... wtf?
Thats a good quote, considering someone else said it. LOL. that wasnt my statement that you quoted me as saying

Detriot has amazing offensive firepower. I could careless if they lose their first 4-5 games, didnt the Yankees lose like 10 in a row last year. Dont count them out.

I guess 8th best offensive team in baseball isnt enough firepower? The Indians had more homers than the tigers?

The Indians are the best hands down
I dont know Im an Indians and Cubs fan so I try to stay optimistic however I just dont see the tribe having consistant offense. Thats what happened last year we'd put up 10 runs in some games and then not be able to score far to often. Sort of like yesterdays 2-1 Loss.

Toronto is a team I always root for too, especially being in the AL East. Its nice to see them having some early success.

Yeah its sorta a strange love I have for toronto, i think (at least) they're a pretty good team, but they always finish 3rd behind the yankee's and boston.

Oh well im fine with 3rd place behind 2 teams like NYY and BOS.

Edit: Im also glad to see other people cheer for the Jays too.

I'm a big detroit fan. Who cares if they lost the first 5 games of the season? there's still 157 games left. look how shitty the yankees did last year and somehow managed to make the playoffs.

here's my bracketology

ALDS

Detroit vs. Boston, DET wins series 3-2
Seattle vs. Cleveland, Cleveland 3-1

ALCS

detroit beats cleveland in game 7

NLDS

NYM vs. Arizona, mets 3-1
Atlanta vs. Chicago, Atl 3-0

NLCS

mets beat atlanta 4-1

WS

TIGERS WIN 4-0

haha of course i'm gonna pick them being a tigers fan

yeah there is no way Detriot will win the pennant they're pitching staff is far too shaky. Cleveland, Seattle, Boston, and New York are my 4 from the AL getting in.

for all of you yankee, redsox, and cub fans (i hate the cubs) its kinda sad how your teams have to buy there chapionships (well not the cubs haha) when a team like the brewers who has has built there team w/out much money has a team just as good w/ players like Fielder, Braun, Hardy, Hart, and Sheets. Ohh and i love how the brewers just won there first series vs the cubs. and i agree seattle will have a good year.

oh cry because a team makes a lot of money and re-invests it into their team. Fact is Milwaukee would spend the money if they could get it. I remember 3-4 years ago everyone was saying the Brewers should sell their team and move somewhere else, thats how terrible there were. That is the reason I dont like the Yankees, but to say that of all clubs who have money is just envy.

Brewers are still spending 81 million this year, more than Cleveland, Cincinnatti, and 12 other ball clubs.

Cubs were 7th in spending.

well the cubs payroll is 118,536,038 million
thats alot more than the 81 million the brewers have in fact the cubs have 27,536,000 million more than the brewers(thats enough to have a whole new team!!!! the marlins payroll is under 22 million) and i would be willing to bet the cubs salary that the brew crew will win the divison or have a better record then the cubs and look at that they just swept the giants and beat the cubs in there first series. and yes the if the brewers had more money (which they are getting because they keep selling out) they would get some better players but unlike the cubs they would get more stuff for the fans (the cubs dont even have urinals in there bathrooms) have u been to miller park??? they got soooo much for kids and most of its free. (not to mention better BEER and FOOD)
now after that u say they were gonna sell the team and move years ago!! well i have been living in wisconsin my whole life and i can tell you that Milwaukee will ALWAYS have baseball. and yes i know they used to be bad but whens the last time the cubs have been to the series???? over 100 years now.. My point is milwaukee has a home grown team were most of the players have been together since AA ball. they dont go and get the best person for every position like the yanks, soxs, and cubs. they play the game as a team to win while on those other teams the players try to make themselfs look good so they can get more money.. they have no teamwork.

if you won the jackpot today and bought the brewers tomorrow we would have a new team in 2 years because people in milwaukee (in fact all of wisconsin) love baseball just as much if not more then people in new york, boston, or chicago.

You are forgetting that the Cubs do have more than 1 team, I believe they have both a AA and a AAA team. Milwaukee doesnt. so yes that does account for some extra payroll. We'll see how the Cubs do this season, they have spent quite a bit more this year and I expect good things out of them.
