You are all forgetting about the New York Yankees!!!!! We are there every year and we will do it again this year. Our hitting will take us to October then we'll see how the kids are pitching.
The AL looks seriously stacked this year. The Red Sox, the Indians, and Detroit all scare the crap out of me and LA (Anaheim?wtf) isn't too far behind. We are in for a hell of a season.

ALCS - Yankees vs Cleaveland
NLCS - Mets vs who the hell knows (sorry NL guys)

The Sox might have been cursed...but I think A-Rod's 2004 glove slap has brought a plague on the Yankees

That glove slap was the single most sissy and hilarious thing I have ever seen. What the fuck was he thinking when he did it? "I'm fucking A-Rod man, ain't no ball ever gonna touch me, and ain't no rule ever gonna apply to me. What ref? You gonna call me out on that shit? Do you know who the fuck I am bitch!"

how the hell can you hate the red sox? i mean honestly. obviously im biased because im from boston but whats not to like. the unreal comebacks, the tradtion, ect. its all good
I want whatever your smoking........

That pic of Joba still bugs me, & A-rod......fuck'em, I'm a Yankee fan...not a Rod fan, but I'll take those home runs all season long.

I like more of the Red Sox players sometimes than I do the Yanks players, I mean com'on...Manny taking a piss behind the outfield wall inbetween pitches wearing sunglasses with an I-pod / & my main man - Big papi / they got some gritty players that dont mind gitting dirty, they are scrappy....my kinda ball players. I love my Yankees but, you trade sheffield for Bobby abreu (sp?) R. Cano aint nobody, they dont seem to ever be very concerned about the pitching staff...(we'll make due) everybody in the outfield is super slow, in fact the intire bench is slow, & check out the infield would'ya...Giambi / the Rod / Jeter / Cano...I just gotta laugh out loud.

They will be lucky to make it to the postseason this year, either way they are my team & I'll stick with them like I have been over the last 15 years.

Oh, & btw have you seen the commercial with John Cruk (sp again)...he digs up an old brief case he had left on the field when he played ball, opened it up & there was an old samich in it, thats where the bugs came from in the Yanks & Indians series......ah, anyway I guess you have to see it.

Its a long season, I'm gonna enjoy every game.

I wouldnt even put the Yanks in the playoffs this year. curse them for getting rid of Joe Torre. Their pitching is not going to be great and you need pitching down the stretch. They have a bunch of young, unproven pitchers.

Cleveland has the pitching but lacks some of the offensive firepower. If Detriot can keep pitching healthy, mainly in their bullpen, they will be a threat to win it all. Granderson is still on the DL, they are only going to get better.

Mariners all the way! Silva looked damn good for a number 3 starter last night, going 7 and only allowing 1 ER. Which is good, because Seattle can't reach too deep into their bullpen just yet

Yankees won their first series. Good start. Hughes looked great and the bullpen held up. A-Rod is a is certainly not getting off to the right foot. What the hell is going on with this guy. He can hammer a homerun to dead center field down 5-0 in the 7th, then strikes out looking like a rookie when the game was on the line. It's just time after time with this guy, what a goddam head case. Sorry about that A-Rod rant.

To the poster above who claimed to be a Yankees fan but obviously isn't saying who is Robinson Cano? Are you kidding me? Have you ever watched this guy play. Hes barely in the league and he's looking like the sky is the limit. He can put the bat on the ball like few guys out there. Our offenss is phenomenal and the bullpen is great. The starting pitching is at least good enough to get wins with that run support. If the young guys really start to shine thought, then it is going to be very interesting. If Wang, Kennedy, and Hughes can pitch to their potential, we can win 95 games even with an aging Mussina and Petitte.

The Sox look great and its gonna be a hell of a season in the AL

P.S. WTF is Detroit doing getting swept by KC? Is this some April Fool's joke i never found out about?

I watch the Yankees play every chance I get...but no I have never seen Cano play

Who is he? jk

He was supposed to be "God", I mean thats what they said when he first came out, loads of potentail.......potential smotentail, fuckin potential is in the eye of the beholder...you either got it or you dont, & he hasnt shown me yet, maybe he does have "it"......but it has yet to show itself. Now I'm not saying he's a terrible player by any means, he does have skills...in fact all I said was he's a nobody.

I'm kind of a pissed off Yankee fan right now man, I was with them long before Jeter came along & went through the dry season, but these days are different, they just continue to let me down, & I'm not talking about winning the WS...just shit in general, I guess its kinda hard to understand unless you have been with them for over 20 years.

Now, what is it I'm missing with this guy???

You must be delerious if you think I was saying I was a Yankees fan

I have Robinson Cano on my fantasy baseball team and he is sucking balls he is 1/11 batting .091 with no runs, no hr, and no rbi's. I know he can be good, but I dont want to be sitting on this guy waiting for him to catch fire. Yanks havent looked good at all yet.

I must be very delerious then. If you have Cano on your fantasy team you absolutely have to keep him. It's three games into the season!!!! How could you possibly think about unloading him!!?? Would you trade David Wright if he started out the season 0-11? Hang on to Robbie and even from a fantasy standpoint he's a fantastic player.

The Yanks looked good in their season opening series, not great, but good enough the beat the Blue Jays who a lot of people have pegged to make a run at the playoffs this year (I don't think it's gonna happen). They beat Roy Halladay, maybe the best pitcher in the American League, on the season opener and lost to a very good A.J. Burnett. It is goint to be a fun summer in the AL East.

P.P.S Detriot? I mean.... wtf?

I guess 8th best offensive team in baseball isnt enough firepower? The Indians had more homers than the tigers?

The Indians are the best hands down
