is there a possibility of algae when using aeroponics? in wikipedia, i searched aeroponics and it says that it prevents algae growth...From what i understand isnt algae prevented only by isolating the res. from the light?

also would an air pump+air stone be needed or would the water pump suffice?

air pump isn't necessary due to the nature of aeroponics. I like to add one to my ressy though to keep it moving and mixing and extra-oxygenated.

Keep out the light, and you'll nearly eliminate any chance of algae growth.
