Water curing buds after harvest

Am I the only one here who does this to a portion of their harvest? I haven't seen anyone talk about this on here but it was quite popular on overgrow (when it was up). Basically its a process in which the trimmed buds are cured in water for 7 days, refresing the water supply every day. After this the buds are hung out to dry in a controlled and very dry environment. The smoke from water cured buds is nothing short of amazing, very very easy and smooth smoke, along with being devastatingly stoney. The taste of the bud hardly comes through, but you can adust the taste by either curing longer in air tight jars, or refreshing the water less often. I only do this with 2 or 3 ounces at the most just because its tedious work and the buds need to carefully monitored to insure none of them mold.

This process also works with buds that have already been dried and cured the traditional way, but I have found it may take a few extra in water to get a smoother smoke out of it. If you haven't tried water cured buds you are definitely missing out! Anyone else do this?

Yup, I've water cured before. Most don't like it because you lose all the smell and bag appeal -- Nothing beats a nice jar cure IMO.

Well, i've water cured buds and let them cure for 6 months before, and the smell comes right back, but its much lighter and very fragrant. I had some shiskaberry a while ago that cured until it smelled exactly like perfume, no skunky smell at all. Ofcourse the smoke was just as tasty.

But yea, traditional slow curing does wonders for taste. I believe this process is actually more common with people who want to make their shitty weed taste better w/o sacrificing the high.
