Pruning for Dummies?... Experts, "please" explain pruning...

Hey guys,



My first grow is going very well, but I have some trouble with pruning. I am unsure where to make the "cuts" and do not know what/ or how much to cut off of the plant. Also whether it be just a matter of the leaves itself,... or from the main branch. Please "excuse" me as I am new to growing,... and besides my best efforts to research pruning,... I am still somewhat in the dark. As far as in lamens terms,.. I do know the stem, petals, and leaves,.... now if someone can explain where i go from there to promote "new" bud sites, and branching. I am in my 6/7 th week of vegitation phase....You guys have been very helpful, as as a result I have learned a lot. I thank all of you guys beforehand.
