I tried Lst last week for the first time on two of my older plants that had been topped after seeing your guide.
They look pretty good not near as good as yours yet. Instead of four branches mine have two.
Thank's again for the great guide.

^^It has potential.

LBH, you talk to anyone about getting this *stickied* in the newb forum? Even tho DierWolf already has a LST tut, he trains around the bucket, yours are symmetrical as fuck... just a thought!

Agreed, I think this method is better than the "spiral" method.

Re: LBH's 4-Way LST tutorial (w/ "topping" sub tutorial)

Nevermind, it's going to have to wait till the next batch, my fellow grower friend has me convinced to flower the Pineapple Express. She's over in the flowering side now.

To give you an idea, I want to cut a piece of mdf or plywood in a 20" circle. Put plant in center. Screw in about 20 eyelet screws around the edge of the wood and continue to tie down from the branches to the eyelets.

Bigger pots next time around. I could make this plant absolutely huge but I am only working w/ 3 gallons of soil. All those buds pulling from a mere 3 gallons, not good. 10 gallon pots next time.

LBH you are a champion.... to think what i could of pulled with this type of lst with last years harvest... I would have easily double it for sure.... I grow in 50ltr tubs and will be trying this method out this year with a twist ill be using clones and ill doing 4 clones per pot.. i will be putting them all in the middle of the pot and then bend each clone away from the middle like you did with your first 4 branchs... then i will be doing everything the same as you... let me know what you think bro....

much respect bro

I'm not very educated on this stuff, perhaps a senior grower could give better input but from what I've read, multiple plants per pot is a big no,no. Not because there isn't enough room for all the roots but because they tangle with each other resulting in strangled roots.

If you go ahead wit it though, please link me to the journal, I'd love to see how it works out

Good luck man

thanx for the quick reply bro

as for the not having more than one plant in the one pot.... purely myth IMO bro lol I had 3 in each pot last year and they still didnt fill the pots completely and they were not small plants by anyone's standards

if this works ill deff be giving credit where it is due bro awesome idea mate

Shroomyshroom: You could always just section the tubs into 4, and then plant them all close to each other in the middle like u said...

How about like this? Partitioned but planted in the center, perfect for training. Not exactly "4 way lst".... but a VERY cool derivative!!.

** after reading through this again, I think this is pretty much what Rasta mentioned earlier **

Re: LBH's 4-Way LST tutorial (w/ "topping" sub tutorial)

Think about it,....even as the get bigger, once the main stalks are established you can start banding them together, the 4 main stalks, they would support each others weight as well,.....awesome.

-note- "banding" of the stalks would have to be done w/ something that won't hurt them and also allow them to continue growing. You might have to redo them a few times as they get bigger.

I'm LIKING this.... The 4X4 Bud Bush!!!
