Boosting Growth: Electrical Stimulation w/ Pv Cells!? ^^

I'm dumping soil for aero soon which is why I asked. I've been thinking on my question tho. I didn't know if the low voltage electricity would be strong enough from a pv cell to travel thru aerosolized water. I believe there may be a way to incorporate electrical root stimulus into aeroponic systems that are designed to run 24/7 however. Maybe metal plates in the bottom of the system and letting the wet root mass be the conductor? Maybe parellel metal meshes thru the center of the chamber? Before I can even start experimenting I'm going to have to figure out the physical/mechanical way everything is going to have to go together. The problem is I don't really know much about electricity or the way it behaves lol.

Looks like I'm gonna be doing some heavy research for the next few weeks as I build a second growbox.

when using the pv cells does the difference between the 6500k lighting and the 2700k come into play? Can i use a soft white cfl to power the pv cell through the veg state and the flowering state?

i understand this somewhat but stil dont get how u can use this since the PV cells charge in day when the lights r on and then give off the energy at night. doesnt this ruin ur 12/12?? if sum1 is using a thread using this method can u please post it

ive decided to take two plants from my crop and test the pv cells on them. I used the pv cells you described and it was pretty easy to set them up. It has been 6 days since i put the new sprouts into their buckets and they are growin pretty well the only thing is that the leaves are not growing at the same rate as the other plants that are under lights. The root is thick and tall but the leaves just seem to be stunted. Any thoughts or ideas?

im thinking im going to try it.1 min at a time every hour or something.

any thoughts to bad or good?

ok i lied ive had it on 24/7 since LOL umm lets just say root mass tripled...plant didnt get bigger tho very strange.

i belive the idea is to remove the battery from the pv cell so instead of powering the cell your putting energy into the soil which the plant conducts. so basicaly it whould only help your plant when the lights are on so no effect on your flowering. i could be wrong tho. just started germinating some bagseed runing 5v post pics if it works out.

What would be interesting is to test plant growth in an increased electromagnetic field. I'm not an expert but could this be related to using a Tesla coil? I have no experience with making/using a Tesla coil but I think it would be worth a try. Especially if you can get the same effect as using PV cells.

Also, if this is successful, it could be used with any growing medium. Whether it be soil, hydro, or aeroponics. A reply from someone with a better understanding of this would be appreciated.

Tesla Coils operate utilizing what is called resonant inductive coiling, it is a very very complex process involving nanometer measurements and extraordinary calculations in order to sync perfectly the resonant waveforms of energy from different circuits.

That said, while in theory it's a neat idea, in practice it would be very very difficult to get to work.

I`ve got 2 plants flowering right now 1 indoor 1 outdoor is this something I should try on them now or should I wait till next grow. Either way I definitely will be trying this, for the price and effort it takes to try it, it will be well worth it if it boost yield any imo.

Sure, I don't see any reason not to try this now. But use extreme caution, you don't want to stun your plants with a month or so left till harvest, right?
Place the electrodes on a safe distance from the main stem. If you don't see any signs of distress within a few hours (light on offc), you can start moving them closer.

I'd recomend the ultrasonic frequencies technique though for your plants, since its much safer, and probably more rewarding.
