Re: Using Molasses as a nutrient

What's up fellas? Im using a DWC system so i don't have a pump to worry about. I was wondering if i use molasses all should be good right? 1 tbsp per gallon? I see most of the people using molasses are using it in soil and they use the molasses with every feeding. I usually change my res once a week and top off twice in between.
How could i incorporate molasses in my res water? any input would be great.

Re: Using Molasses as a nutrient

Sounds pretty simple. It's always better to underfeed than to overfeed. Try just adding 1 tbsp when you change your reservoir once a week. See how the plants respond. If you're feeling adventurous after that. try adding 1 tbsp when you change your res, and when on your second top up. Trial and error. hopefully without any error.

Re: Using Molasses as a nutrient

Hi all

I gained a lot more about molasses to be added as a nutrient in addition to our daily meal which we take.

Sugar takes many more forms than the white table sugar with which you are familiar the one with which we are discussing of. I just want to try this even.

One more thing can be added to this is the Marine Phytoplankton is a supercharged, ocean-based micro algae that is raw which is used as a liquid nutrient as such with a few drops even.

Thanks..

Hi Leapfrog

Thanks for writing back..

Hope you enjoyed a lot..

Many people also like to take a daily multi-vitamin and mineral complex just to be sure their diet is not missing any important
liquid nutrient
to our body..

Re: Using Molasses as a nutrient

has anyone used molasses along with foxfarm nutrients? i've been using their whole product line on my last grow 2 grows. last night i mixed in 1-2 table spoon of grandmas molasses into a gallon container with the foxfarm nutes. this morning i while i was feeding noticed that the nutes smelled pretty damn funky and there was some slight bubbling going on. im guessing it was the bacteria and microbes reacting to the sugar. i havent noticed anything yet. im no expert so if anyone has any experience with these products, please chime in.

Yes that's the case.

Always use it fresh and right away.

Let the bacteria and microbes do their wonder in the soil, not in the feeding water.

I use fox farm nutes, but only give them mollasses on the waterings not when giving nutes. And only use them in 12/12 starting around 2nd week.
