Realistic Numbers
I run what I believe to be a fairly affective medium size indoor set-up averaging 10 lbs every 85 days.
Using my numbers and a little multiplication will show what is necessary for a grow the size you are asking about. With just 200 ft2 of canopy I average 1 lb for every 20 ft2 of canopy. To achieve your 20-30 range you'd need 400-600 ft2 of canopy. After figuring in all of my costs (clones, nutes, electricity, trimmers fees, rent, ....etc) my monthly operating costs are around $3500 a month and generally come to a bit over $10k per cycle. Other than the rent all of the other costs would go up with a larger grow. Best guess is that a huge grow, like you are describing, would cost at least $5k-$7k a month in operating costs. My 6000w plus fans and all the extras cost me a bit over $7k in equipment. Yours would require at least twice the investment and more likely a bit more as a huge set-up like that is going to take some industrial sized HVAC systems to keep it cool. Best guess would be $20k for initial set-up. Another factor is the reality is that huge gardens usually run slightly less efficient than smaller grows. Its probably a lot to do with the care and attention for each plant but just because you can do a gram per watt on a small grow doesn't mean that will translate into the bigger wattages. In conclusion my best guess is that to do a 20-30 pounder would take: 400-600 ft2 of canopy (add another 400-500 ft2 if your going to do your own cloning) likely $20k+ initial set-up costs Monthly operating costs of $5k - $7k With a $10k nest egg you might be better to start with a smaller one or two light scene until you get some more experience and capital. You want the best advice? Spend a fraction of that 10 grand and buy the book that will save your plants lives. I read this book and it covers everything you need to know.

We aint "hating", I personally just don't like wanna ba gangsters. Look jr., you are in a state with no Medical laws at all. You come in here and want info on how to pull 20-30lbs and tell us u have 10g's to spend. You also want to put this in an apartment with close neighbors and expect us to tell you it can be done.
Your the guy that makes us all look bad. I bet your next question would be "how to steal power". |

Dude what you are trying to do i belive is impossible I mean look at it this way a plant can produce around 1.5 - 3 ounces a month (dont crucify me if my facts are wrong) so around and average 2 ounces a plant so 8 plants to a pound so about 80 plants for ten pounds 240 plants for your 30 Lbs then if your going to want to grow that much every month your going to need a mother plant and most likely your going to need ALOT of them so maybe 15 - 25 to start because they will be small. then dont forget all the lights your going to need around at least 25 - 30 1000 watts plus cooling then space the space you have just isnt sufficent in all i say it is possible but just not feasible. and for anyone else reading please don't crucify me if any of my facts are wrong im just trying to give an example at why this grow is pointless.

How are people haters? They simply are pointing out your ignorance. 1st off, get your head out of the clouds. You need warehouse space for that type of grow. Growing more than a few plants in an apartment is really stupid. You might as well put a neon sign on the building saying I GROW POT.
Yes, I understand that you came here for help. You just don't like the help you are getting. An Experienced grower is not going to tell you it is feasable, when it is not. You got to LEARN how to grow 1 plant before you tackle 50-100. I doubt that you have ever read a single grow guide. You might want to start there. It's kind of selfish of you to think that you can just go on a forum and ask people to do ALL of the thinking and planning for you. Some of them have been WORKING and RESEARCHING for years to perfect their growing skills. You want something for nothing. Go do your homework, and when you get your op going, feel free to come back for advice. Here is a free guide to get you started. Simple and easy. http://www.1stmarijuanagrowerspage.c...rijuana-3.html

you already broke the first rule which is dont tell anyone . you need to stick to shrooms it will take over 300 plants which would need to be clones so u wouldnt have to grow 600 plants to get about 300 females no way can u grow that in an apt and get away with the smell and the 2000 dollar a month electric bill you will get caught without a doubt just grow enough for personal use and u might be ok if u build a good grow cab and filter the air so the smell doesnt get out 2-5 plants at the most

the funny thing is you think you can do this in a fucking apartment, and you have done no research for yourself what so ever and it shows, you want someone to hold your hand and basicly grow you 20lbs of weed,
10 grand is not enough money to do this, like hal said, youll need multiple 1000 watt lamps, 2-300 a piece, the ducting, the fans, the filters, a system, nutrients, water bills electric bills, theres alot your not factoring in
