2 plants in 1 bubblebucket.....(PICS)....please comment

well this is my second grow, but my first time ever growing using bubblebucket.....i pretty much understand everthing i need to know and my plant are about 5 weeks old and at the end of late week i shut the lights off for 24 hour to start 12/12.....well the plants have been doing great and looking awesome.....i just got my ppm meter today and it read that my water was above 2000 ppm, so i drained and rinsed my system, added nutes and adjusted ph......then i tested the ppm again and it read 1900.....i was wondering if thats good for two plants.......i only planned on leaving the two plant in there together untill i could see the sex of both the pants....but was wondering if both the plants turn out to be female could i leave both the plants in there and just watch it carfully has anyone tried this before??

what brand/model of ppm/ec meter do you have?

What is the conversion factor of the meter (.5 or .7)?

what kind of lights are you using (HID or Fluoros)?

what strain are you growing (sativa or indica)?

what kind of nutes are you using?

it was a waste but im not mad.....now i will only invest in fem seeds.........and i have all the experience i need for my next plants....this was my first HYDRO grow

There is always some PTS when this unfortunate "KILLING" happens,its really unavoidable most of the time......sorry bro..

Growing is NEVER a waste of anything,even if it goes poor the failure will make you strong and teach you what not to do or in this case give you a lil experience.
When i first grew my first TWO plants they were both WW males and i just cloned the shit out of them prior to their killing and after they rooted they to were murdered.

I also thought long and hard about going fem. seeds but didnt,if your not going to keep a mother plant and have a limited space for growing then go for the fem.

If your going to keep a mother in veg. go for the reg.seeds,grow 3-4 and wait to sex killing the males and weak.

Fem. seeds will have a huge advantage growing females BUT at the added expense of going hermi if a major problem arises in the grow room.

Don't fret too much man, you did something that many people wouldn't have the balls to do. You grew marijuana, and from the looks of it, did a damn fine job.

Hey hey, i found this topic interesting, because in Big Poppa Puff's bubble bucket sticky, he says to put three seeds in one pot, so that one of them will most likely be female, and the 5 gal bucket will easily support three plants till you can determine sex.
there is a disclaimer that most other people dont do this, but it would suit my needs as i dont have access to clones at the moment.

so I'd like to continue on this subject, as it will pertain to my next grow.

so if you get one or two girls, killing the male plant(s) make their roots die, if i'm correct... and if so will those dead roots cause problems with the other plant(s)? BPP's guide said you can keep growing them if you keep an eye on the water and nutes..

I'd just like to know if anyone else has had any experience on this.

dead roots are fine, its just another medium for the plants to grow in, Dewave grows his plants in coco and just cuts down the old one then plants a seed in the same bucket for several grows with zero issues, he's got a very "predictable" operation, if there was an issue with it he'd know.

FYI, in hydro, when you kill a plant with a big root system and your goin to want to flush every once in a while to clear out the dead platn matter so it doesnt promote algae growth (something thats not as much of an issue with soil / other medium grows)

hey, thanks for the info mordgrow, it has really settled my nerves about more than one plant per pot. I figured the dead roots would be a place where alge would grow on, but my bucket is light proof, and I plan on changing the water every week. (flushing with PHed water in between)

so I've gone out and biult myself a bubble bucket, to try my hand at some hydro. i've only done one, whick I plan to grow a mother plant in. because I only have one, and I'll be starting with some regular seeds (bag seeds from a very near seedless bubba kush bag) I'll be planting three in the one bucket. once I've proven to myself that theese buckets work, and i'm capable of controlling proper nutes and ph, i'll make a few more buckets and take cuttings, so i dont have to grow more than one in a pot. (unless i dont have problems with mom, maybe i'll do two a bucket)

cool, not trying to jack the thread, but if anyone sees a problem with any of what i'm doing, tell me.
