Using Pure Oxygen

I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on oxygenating my reservoir with a medical oxygen machine. The machine generates oxygen that is concentrated from the standard air we breath.

I was thinking that by highly oxygenating the water/nutrient supply to the roots as well as using CO2 I could greatly increase yield and grow time. Sort of a hybrid between Aeroponics and Hydroponics.

Let the debate begin.



Oh. and I am fully aware that using pure oxygen is a potential fire hazard!

You and I cant be the only genius to think of this. Someone out there has to have tried this. I have searched high and low on the internet for any info on this subject. Can't seem to find any.

All you really need to add to your rez is a bubbler/stone such as those used for aquarium purposes. That will bring in the air (and O2) to oxygenate the water. An air pump will set your back $20 and will do the job.

The article basicly says that water reaches a saturated point with just a bubbler type system.

How about this idea. Instead of using the pure oxygen to aerate the reservoir, what if you were to run individual oxygen lines to each pot so the roots were bathed in pure oxygen.



Will this work.....THOUGHTS Please.

I am already doing this. I was just wondering whether adding more pure oxygen to the root system via the reservoir or directly into the hydro pot would increase vegatative growing and yield
