When time to harvest, instead of cutting the whole plant down and all the stems, why not just cut some of the stem off and the buds. and let it grow again. Would that work?

Its called re-vegging. It works but not very well. Search threads, everyone has asked this before.

I wouldn't plan on re vegging though. Just keep it in the flower room?

You would most likely need to re-veg it and start with nutes again to grow new leaves. Otherwise it would grow in the same way as a plant from 12/12 from seed would grow as opposed to 18/6 or 24hrs.

The user Rumpleforeskin says he gets two harvests out of his grows. One at 40 days then another at 70 days. I'm not sure what he does to accomplish this, but I have learned that anything he says is worth paying attention to.

I've thought about experimenting along these lines, but cloning is very easy and there is always something ready to fill the flowering room when the harvest is done.
