Training Question...

I havent tried tieing down a plant and i want to try it on one of mine. Its only about a week old so i figure about another week or 2. What do any of you think?

zipties and ducttape

use zipties on the stems bend them over and ducttape the zip tie to the pot.

It really IS as simple as bending it and keeping it in place.

I use metal hooks which I put in the soil, and I also use string. Duct tape peices of string at the base of your pot, make them long enough to tie down branches, and as the plant grows just bend the branches and tie them. Very simple to do, nothing special to know about it.

metal hooks

i always found when using metal hooks espeacialy with a strong indica stem sometime comes out of the soil which is why zip ties and duct tape are the way to go

Yes, I've actually moved from hooks in the soil to hooks on the edge of the pot. I just bend them in half, make hooks out of the end, put the branch in it and clip it to the lip of the pot. That's working VERY well, and saves the effort of tying the larger branches. :-)
