![]() Got a whole bunch of these free flouros from the corner store when they redid all their shit. The moms are about 10 inches tall, Im trying to keep them shorter and i cut the shit out of them today. I think the white shit might have been powdery mildew from lack of airflow in the mom cab. the bushiness of the plants might have been restricting the flow so I took a bunch of cuts and I ll try to keep the moms small. Its still hard for me to cut these beautiful plants up lol. I just want to let them grow. Im trying to get another cab for moms cuz this one is starting to show its age. I want to be able to put my T5 in as well. Heres the moms, Pre-cuts Shorty (517) ![]() Cruella (WW) ![]() ICE ![]() Margie (MK) ![]() OG ![]() Stunner (Sadhu) ![]() And someones coming to play. Guess who??? ![]() ![]() FINALLY got one of the cuts I took off the flowering Swazi plant at my boy's house to root!! This pheno is insane!!!! So now its here to stay. Surprised you still have the white powder problem and someone hasn't mentioned to you that it could be the powder mold problem. I have had the same white powder your showing in your pic on my last NYCD and OG grow. I got clones from the bank and one of them came in with it. I had never seen it before so it was my first time dealing with it. I believe most remedies will call it "Powdery Mildew". Yes it spreads to all of the plants, and you can treat it a few different ways.
Now before I go any further, I would like some more people to come in and look at your picture with the white powder and maybe I'm right or just long winded. I am pretty sure that you have what I have just gone through and have a few friends with it now that I have mentioned the problem. added: Sorry, didn't see the part where you mentioned it just above in that post between the pics. Ventilation, misting the plants every day and keeping the temps from getting too cool will help get rid of it, or so my hydro guys tell me, but if that doesn't work, you might have to go with something like Serenade or another type of treatment to eradicate. There are a number of things to do to stop it. First and foremost, get that humidity down! And to do this, u must increse your airflow. When I mention "increseing your airflow" I am not talking about circulatory fans, I am talking about Air Exchange. You want to replace the voluum of air in your grow space every two minuates. Now, lets get rid of it! Sulpher Burner. Picked up at any grow shop. This is a unit that actually burns sulpher, u know the crap that makes matches stink. What the sulpher does is change the PH of your leaves, not allowing Powdery Mildew to grow. P.M. needs a lower ph to thrive. Sulpher raises it. You will find if you have different Strains, that Powdery Mildew will attact some, but not others sitting right next to it. It is because Different Strains have differant PH levals. But if it gets bad enough, it will spread to everything! I would only recommend running Sulpher in a Vegitive Room, not a flower. This next one should freak out the "purists" among us. Fungicide. I use a 3 in 1 fungicide from Safer that is applied thru folier spraying. This has been the best remedy for me. It wipes it out, no matter how bad, in a matter of 48 hours. Ultimatly, you will want to wipe your WHOLE mother room down, walls, fan blades, any filters from ac units going into the room. Powdery Mildew can lie dormant for months! High Humidity and low air flow is the culprit. Once it starts, just increasing your airflow and lowering your humidity still won't eradicate it. I hope this helps! |
