You don't need to buy a kit.
It is easy to make yourself. It took a few days to gather all the parts from ebay, homedepot, walmart, and my local plumbing supply house. Just start buying parts and then you can put them all together. Everything you need to get is pictured, and if you aren't sure, feel free to ask, and I'll help you find what you need. I won't design one for you, but I'll help you find the sprayers and the pumps. Copy it, modify it, whatever,..... just do it. Can't you get to a walmart? homedepot? plumbing supply house? everything you need is in a walmart near you and you can order the rest from the net. |

one more question Earl,
Im having a hard time finding a constant ph meter like you have set up i assume i would have to go to a science supply. but i haven't had any luck finding anything but pen meters online. Is there a name for that specific kind? *** nevermind i found yours kinda pricey though**** http://www.betterthannature.com/cata.../products_id/4 Last edited by AZUL : 12-12-2007 at 09:31 PM. |

Is there a hydro store near you? They should carry the spray jets.
Do a google search for, 360 spray jets http://www.dripdepot.com/1247.html http://www.dripdepot.com/1247.html?g...iDwOz9AyCFlqYp |

You can use this method in any type of rez. The first thing you need is a set of hole saws from ebay $30 ![]() It is important that the hole be very round, and fits the drain snug, to prevent leaks. We are going to put a kitchen sink drain in the center of the tub and hook it up to a pump with a water hose that will allow us to drain into a bathtub, or any drain in our house. ![]() Go to Lowes or walmart and pick up a basket drain like this. The strainer is cheaper at walmart but they probly won't have the drainkit. ![]() You will need some other parts while you are there. Pick up some plumbers putty. ![]() And A drain kit like this ![]() Make a rope with the putty and place it around the basket like this. ![]() When you tighten up the retainer ring on the bottom, the putty will squish out like this and you can clean it up. ![]() Next we need a platform to allow room for the plumbing. This is 1/2 plywood on scrap 2x4 legs 9 inches high. You could make it a inch or two shorter. ![]() Again you need the hole saw. This time use the biggest one so the retainer ring will fit inside. Here is another platform I have. You also need to pick up the 1.25 to 1.5 bell reducer, and the 1.5 bushing insert with female threads to fit the brass faucet. ![]() Here is the other part from HD. $70 ![]() And you need a garden water hose, get and extra 1/2 inch female water hose end. For hooking up more than one rez you can maifold the drain. ![]() So here is the parts list: Flotech pump. Garden hose. 1/2" garden hose replacement end, female. 3/4" inch brass faucet garden hose bib. 1 1/2" glue in bushing with 3/4" female thread. 1 1/2" X 1 1/4" glue bell reducer 1 1/4" kitchen drain kit kitchen basket drain. PVC cleaner and glue, and plumbers putty. You can use a bar sink drain basket instead of the Kitchen sink basket. ![]() The bar sink drain is great for smaller tubs where there are size issues, and is usually cheaper. ![]() They use the same 1 1/4 drain kit. |

That's a good price considering that kickass setup you have going. Did you do this all yourself or did you use instructions off the net?if you did whats that site ![]() |
