Which Hydro/Aero Set will give me what i want?

Im looking to get a pound atleast from every harvest with 6-12 plants, not sure whether to go with the ebay aero system, a dwc ebay system, or an ebb and flow. I will be using either a 400w or 600w light. Please give me some input. Also i was looking into the rainforest system which has the options of 6 or 18 plants or more. I would be willing to go up to 18 if it would be worth it over the 6 bigger ones. This will be my first hydro or aero set. I am not afraid to get into a technical system for my first time. So anywho please let me know which system you think would be more efficient. I plant on making the environment optimal as well as the nute solution. If YOU have a setup that is along these specs please tell me how much you get out of it in what amount of time please. Thanks guys

Go to the Cannabis Culture forum and check out the "Building a home made aeroponics" in the hydro threads. Google "home made aeroponics"

You can DIY and make it a lot better, and cheaper.

Give your self more room for some big plants.

The spacing on those ebay aero systems is for head lettuce, not a big herb bush.

Here is just a little common sense advice:

-The more light you have available to your plants, the larger your harvest. (Go with the 600)
-Read up on all the hydro threads you can. Although it can be tedious at times you will learn so much it will blow your brain!
-Check out RumpleForSkin's DWC/Bubbl Bucket thread to establish a base of how to construct a system and just do it yourself. It will be pretty easy, cheaper than buying a setup, and if you can handle a hydro grow you can handle building your own system. Another benefit of building your own system is that you will have to understand exactly how everything works - there is no such thing as too much knowledge when it comes to growing. Im setting up a system based off of Rumple's buckets but instead using Rubbermaid Roughneck storage totes that will be able to handle 2 or 4 plants each, depending on whether I want to Scrog or Sog, connected to a remote res. for easier access for ph/TDS checks.

Not to sound like a dick with this reply but if you have to ask whether or not a 400 or 600 is going to give you a better chance at a larger yeild - you might want to seriously consider just having a cup of coffee and reading every hydro thread the Advanced Growing Forum has. In a few hours you could increase your understanding of the various hydro methods and with it your probablilty of pulling some serious weight come harvest time.

All the best,
rabidrabbit

I like digital ballast because I can run either MH or HPS.

I also like two 400s over one 600w if the price is near the same.

It is nice to have several small lights to get all those side ares of the grow. Ofcourse you have to deal with the heat, which is a big important consideration.

So the size of the light might depend on your ability to deal with the heat.

Have as much light as you can accommodate.

The more light that you can get on them without overheating, the faster your grow will go.
