8 week flower cycle, SOG

well, i had 1 ballast fail on me (right at the middle of flowering!!) so my flowering time table is all fucked up, it hasnt gotten back to me yet, but should be here any day now.

the plants are still flowering ok under 1 400w HPS, but its all on one side of the room so i have them crowded under it , not the best situation.

I dont know how much of a set back this for me, originaly i had intended to harvest the 1st week of november, but now... /shrug

im still ready to do this. but im not going to cut my 3 PPP plants short on the flower cycle just to get a new system up.

i have made a similar set up
but just for two plants,
also from spare parts.


I have my buckets in the swc.


The reason I have the plants in separate containers
is to prevent the roots from becoming tangled together.

I have a drain also.

well so far its all theory, though the last drawing is based off space i have and on materials i've already gathered.


I tryed building a "mist" cloner but apparently the 330gph fountain pump i have it hooked up to doesnt have the power to presurize my set up..

so i gotta go shopping, I need this cloner up and running before i build the rest.

I'm still a little gunshy on my fogging cloner, sure it worked great for a long time, but it also failed horribly and left me stranded for a while too.

ever thought of doing anything like this Ebb & Flow? This is what I'm planning on doing ... i want to pack it in a little tighter and maybe have more sites but I think it's a great general idea ... i think i might wait until LED technology gets a little better and we figure out the best spectrum before i get started

intresting idea, but the root space is very small. I've always been of a mind set that the more roots the better!

looks like an intresting idea. I've never tryed ebb and flow, maybe one day..

Can't wait to see how this works out. I'm gearing up to small-time Sog in "dirt" but would love to see how you get the hydro to work. I would love to be able to go away for the weekend without having to worry about coming home to crispy critters....
