A Breeding Question!

which strain will produce the biggest flower?

im cross-breeding the two strains that i have, but niether are really heavy yielders.
both are pretty potent, but id like to try and customize my garden so that my plants are short and fat
I already have 1 male of each in my veg room
both are short and fat
i just need me a short fat female to impregnate.

Before I could answer the question I would need to know the heritage of your strains. remember you cannot create any new characteristics from breeding. All breeding is is the recombination of existing traits. If you bought your seeds through a company then they should most likely be f1 hybrids to prevent rip offs. My advice is to cross your strains with themselves and from that cross you should get a wide range of characteristics, and from then on chose your favorites and breed away. sorry if it made no sense I have a good grasp of breeding, but I suck at explaining it.

If the strains you have now are indica dominant I would recommend crossing with a sativa dominant and vice versa. When you cross two plants with very different gene pools you get something called hybrid vigor which most of the time leads to the new offspring to have the positive characteristics of both parents.

Soooo. if you have a indica now I would recommend maybe these..

and if you have a sativa dominant than I would recommend these...

I really don't know what your personal preferences are so I can't give you an exact strain. Just chose whatever looks good to YOU. Selection is the most important aspect of breeding. Hope this info helped and happy breeding
