As a Canadian, I'll definetly have to figure out a way to get it 4 season but this so far has been one of the best and most cost effective ways to destroy your power bill and KW intake for ... other... better uses

I also plan to do all dishes by hand, use the highest rated Energy saver appliances on the market and the obvious switch of incadescents...

I've been lucky enough to befriend an electrician and have been talking to him about Energy saving boxes that pulsate the energy at such high frequencies that over a period of a day it ends up shutting off for a period of 10 or so minutes (turns on and off power or stops flunctuations going through the box.)

I'll try and talk to him tonight and get some commercial brand names to put in this thread for you, i figure with a perpetual grow the additional KW/per hour savings (Anywhere from 20-40%) should allow you to upgrade your grow or further downgrade the heat associated with it.

Thank you very much for teaching me about solar heaters!

I'd be very skeptical of such a device. Anything which is reducing the current run through a lamp ballast (in example) will reduce the luminous output. If the benefit is only 10 mins off of 12 hours, don't bother- and keep alert for the scent of snake oil at all times...!

Great thread, gives me ideas of how to grow next, with only 4 in flower X 4 trays...4 in each bubbler should make about 80-120 grams every second week . If I'll do that part with cut off all the 1/3 lower branches to make only top colas... Thanks man didnt think of this before! /ClubCueCas

Glad you've tried it all... but I only use UV ozone gens for scent control- works OK, thanks.

Hey Al, I am in awe looking at your grow setup. It is inspiring to me.

Are you an electrician? Or are you just a genuine jack of all trades?

I was planning on starting a 4x4 ebb and flow setup in a HydroHut Complete, found at hydrowholesale.com. I intend to have 16 one-gallon pots filled with hydroton and I will be growing from clones in rockwool. The only thing I have really failed to find good concrete information on is watering cycles. With hydroton, how often should I plan on watering my plants? What is your rule of thumb for fluctuation of watering cycles as the plant continues to grow?

I am really in a gray area here. Please help me out. Thanks man!

i control smell w/low temps. also pulls out the color in a couple strains. my biggest room is 2k w/I5kbtu ac and one fan. 4O to 5O plants in bud at all times. no smell. none. i have leo all in my neighborhood and ppl in my house. again, no smell.

now i can turn the ac off and in 3O minutes temp would hit 85-9O and everyone within a mile would know.
