Little Veg Time - All Flower Time

Im thinkin of growing in my closet. I only have about 4ft of vertical space.

If I took clones from a mother plant and vegd them just enough to top the plant and let it re-veg for like a day or two, could I switch to flowering and not expect them to get over 3.5FT?

Are there any other threads / grow journals on this?

I know about Low stress training, and the works.

I am just wondering how a plant responds to being switched from 18/6 to 12/12 with little to no veg time, and what kind of yields to expect. Yields are really an issue to me, I just want to be able to maximize space and light conditions.

As it stands I was thinking of going through the veg stage and the first 50 days of flowering with CFLs and then dropping my 400W HPS in to finish off the last month.

if you're imited vertically, you may want to consider a scrog. before you can veg a cutting, you have to root it. you can't and don't want to try and hurry veg time. this is an important time in a plants life. important root development is taking place. w/o an established root mass, your plant is not likely to develop much above ground. any time you're talking about a "re"-veg, you're talking a bit of time. re-vegging usually takes weeks. i suggest avoiding it at all costs. i don't like topping because it slows growth. i get great result from tying down. if you want to control a plants height, tie that girl up!

What you propose is similar to Sea of Green, where clones are flowered as soon as they have good roots (but no need to top them nor veg them). That's how I do it in my SoG op. Clones gain height under 12/12 until about wk 4, but then bulk up with buds until wk 8. They finish up at about 33-36" (1 metre) under a 1000HPS.

started with 6 inch clones
no veg

I'd veg your clones a week after they root, then 12/12.

Going 12/12 for most of the veg time works fine, there's a number of threads about it.
