AS far as them being 7 weeks in... when did you start counting? when you put them in flower, you start counting once they start to bud not when you change the lights.

Red hairs = Nothing

Trichome development = the time to hravest. buds are ready when 50% of the trics are cloudy and 50% are amber (not definative but a good rule) you can obtain different highs by adjusting the percentages.

There might be a few people on the board that have a little more knowledge and experience than you. Spouting off negativity is a sure way to make sure no one here will want to help you when you need it. And if you plan on growing for a while my money says you will need help at some point. MJ is a mysterious creature and full of suprises. Try to take all critisim in stride and keep a postive attitude on the board. No one was attacking you. From the pictures you posted they do look 3-4 weeks out.

Go to radio shack and buy a $10 pocket microscope so you can check the trichomes. Once they turn cloudy you are about 2 weeks out. Dont be held to the fact that the strain finishes in 65 days (example) that is under perfect conditions. Lighting, ferts, soils, all affect the finish time. Each crop is unique. Just my two cents...

well ya know what, since i posted this my buds have done nothing except swell...as for any change in color or ripeness, nothing.
i wasnt trying to come of as sarcastic, its just that i dont even know what strain it is, bought some clones of of a guy through a guy....but they do wreak of blueberries.
So my Question is, since im a "newbie", when exactly should i pick em for an uplifting high, i dont like couch potato weed that makes you wanna sleep?!
and i do have a 30x microscope, so what am i lookin for trics dont look foggy at all yet they look like glass!

I agree, from the looks of the pics you got a good 3 or more weeks to go..

For a more up high you gonna wanna harvest a little early... Wait till the trichomes cloud, and swell, and harvest before to many degrade to amber.

For the most part the trichomes start clear, turn cloudy when they swell with thc, and as the thc degrades to the cannibinoids that produce the couch lock high they turn amber.

The strain will have some bearing on this as well.. Indica naturally have lower thc, and higher cbd, cdn etc.. They produce more of a couchlock effect. Sativas are the opposite higher thc, and lower in the cannibinoids that produce the couchlock effect. But harvesting according to trichomes can still alter the effects to an extent.

Can always harvest some early, and let some go a lil longer and try it all.. Have fun!!

I was thinking they look good for buds at a half way mark. But Mister Postman is the hands down expert on ripe. Show him pictures before you chop them down (I predict very good advice).
