www.barrelofgreen.com

Hello, I wanted to get some feedback on a system I built for scrog style growing. I saw a picture of a chec grower using a similar set up, and I wanted to improve on it, and I think I got it down. I just harvested my second grow ( juicy fruit) and ended up with 342 grams wet weight.

Please take a look at it and let me know what you think.

I am still adding info on the pages, and it is a work in progress.

Thanks

So far it looks like a pretty decent site seeing how it has pictures with the steps and what not. I haven't read it all yet but I am right now, thanks for link.

i have the perfect thing for this

i snaked a old pool filter system from the dumpster at work and it has a hole dead center bottom of it,only about 2 inch in diameter, and comes apart at middle, and has about a 6 inch diameter hole on top that has a cap that screws on it but that will be removed for venting,it also has 2 four inch holes on side of it so i will prob seal the hole on bottom and seal the bottom hole on side \then use top 4 inch hole on side for air in as it should be just above the soil top,i actually used it to veg my plants but after looking at this i am now going to make it,ill start a thread when i build it but i am expecting the birth of my son any day now so prob not till january, you mentiond that you were going to make some changes, what do you have in mind?PM me and we can keep in touch and compare notes while building, good find man +rep ^^

You weigh your bud before you dry it? I was thinking of weighing mine before I picked it (stem, roots, bucket, water, and air stones).

LOL, im laughing coz i too was like Dr. Pot now i just chill

Anyways very nice setup, but i have one question, i see where your removing the heat from the bulb thru the system (via fan at bottom of system with duct thru dirt up to light tube and then out again.

What i dont see is were you are getting ventilation for the plant itself, in other words fresh air with co2, all i see is a couple of holes on the very top of the top section. Those holes alone are not at all adequate to supply the proper amount of ventilation (and when i say ventilation i am not talking about cooling ventilation im talking about the very important fresh air with co2 content the plant needs)

I have drilled 1/2 holes in the flexible black drain pipe, and also when the lights are on I place 1" shims in between the two planters to allow fresh air to enter and exit at will.
I have never had any problems with mold or any kind of fungus. The exhausted air is sent up to the ceiling of the closet to the attic, via the vent pipe above the top planter.

I really enjoyed reading through your website and looking at all of the pictures. Great documentation regarding all steps of assembly! If I didn't already have a box, I would definitely consider something like this, especially since you've done all the research!

also, he posted the weight of his wet harvest because he was excited and wanted to share his results maybe? fyi the yield was 138 grams :P

Thanks for the reply... Suggest you add this to your site becuase without doing the shims and the holes in the exhaust pipe NO new air would get into the plants effectively rendering growth / potency non exsistant.

Haha...I fuckin love it! (even tho it wasn't until your 3rd post that we could understand how it's possible and how the air flow really works)

A mini-MINI 360* vertical system...sweet

I've never grown with less than 6000w in my life, and most of these micro/mini set ups are a joke and a half....but seriously, that system stokes me up Man!
Two thumbs the fuck up!
