CO2 Distribution?

Got one four foot afghan plant growing in a 3-5 gallon active topfood system. Recently came across a full twenty-pound CO2 tank. Plant is about three weeks into flowering. I cannot afford a a timer or anything else for it. I do have the PSI meter, though. What is the best way to go about giving the plant additional CO2? For the past week, i have just been turning to tank on, spraying the plant and room for about a minute, leaving (after turning exhaust and fans off), and reopening the door about a half hour later? Is this wrong?

that should be fine, you've made it this far without it, just be sure not to stay in there too long after u spray it.

thats better than nothing, you should save up for a co2 controller to take full advantage of your tank. your yields would probably be atleast a little bit bigger, if not more
