Question Metanaturals and first hydro experiment

I have received much good advice via private messages and now I am ready to start my first hydro experiment. I grow soil currently and am going to start a bubble bucket behind all of my soil plants (give my soil homies a head start). I am not too worried about failure as this is a first trial run to see if I want to switch to hydro in the future. now for the questions.

1. I bought metanaturals nutes (the veg/grow formula, nitrogen, calcium, and i had the bloom). I wanted to stay as organic as possible. should I start the veg at half of the recommended mix? or just follow the recommendations on the bottle?

2. I am growing a DC clone from rockwool in clay pellets as a medium. I have a cheap TDS meter and drops for pH. Will the metanaturals truly render the TDS meter near useless due to the low conductivity of organic compounds like the bottle says?

I am planning on just watching the plant for signs of success/failure, however I would like to minimize chances of failure as much as possible.

let the answers flood in from all of you hydro geniuses.
thanks in advance.....

I use flora nova and its a organic based nute and I have no problem with it. To tell you the truth, I'd never use any nute I couldn't monitor.

By the way does the feed instructions use a corelating TDS value? If it does you can test the TDS thing by mixing and seeing if they read proper.

last night I went ahead and set everything up anyway. the directions for hydro on the 3-3-3 were for 1tsp per gallon. i used two tsp per three gallons just to mix it a little weak.
tds reading of just water=14ppm
tds reading after adding calcium per metanaturals=254ppm
tds reading of nute solution after= 357ppm.

The bottle does not mention any conversions or anything it merely states that the nutrients do not meter as well since they are organic (lower conductivity).

I guess if my little DC(?) clone looks bad or looks burnt I will have to dilute everything.

oh and my pH was a little high (7.0) so i added a little baking soda and tht basified everything a little. I think it should be around 5.8 now.
thanks.
