Almost finished building my nute collection, went with GH. Had one question, i have everything needed on their "expert drain to waste" schedule except the flora nectar. With all these flavors to choose from on amazon, which would you guys suggest?

General Hydroponics - Flora Nectar Sweetener - 1 Quart

General Hydroponics - Flora Nectar - Sugar Cane - Quart

General Hydroponics - FloraNectar BlueBerry Dream Qt.

General Hydroponics - Grape Expectations - FloraNectar Sweetner

General Hydroponics - FloraNectar Coconut Quart

General Hydroponics - Flora Nectar Pineapple Rush Qt.

They don't actually work. Spend the money in light.

So what, do i just continue on with the rest of the regime with that part cut out? Or should i be replacing it with something else?

I already know that the product doesn't infuse the particular flavor in the herb, but what about all the other crap in it?

Replace it with light. Don't buy that missing product and spend the money somewhere else. You don't need 1% molasses in a gallon for water for fifty bucks. There isn't anything else in it. It's a waste.

I agree that sweeteners, especially in hydroponics, is a waste. Personally I have never used these products but I have gone through the Botanicare, humboldt nutes, and AN sweetening stuff and it all winds up dulling the natural flavor of the bud.

I use fulvic acid and a product from Cutting Edge Solutions called Uncle John's Blend to help bring out the maximum potential in the plants' genetics without adding carbohydrates. If you are looking for the last touches then that would be my advice over any sweetener in a hydro setup.

Hmm. If you want to sweeten things up, I'd go with Bud Candy from Advanced Nutrients.

At first, I didn't really like the flavor, but it grows on you and I get some satisfied responses from my MMJ folks.

I am pretty happy with botanicare sweet. I use coco. I don't use it as much for flavor as for crytal production, and at certain points in.growth. At the recommendation of a friend I started adding sweet to my regular simple veg line up a week or so before flipping. By the time I flip even the larger exteneded sun leaves are coated in crystals now, a nice little headstart on the production for sure.

The Sweet has all.those flavors too, as well as a raw unflavored version. I tried some different ones and they all have the same effect on frostyness, but they don't translate nose and taste wise they way you would think smelling them out of a bottle. As mentioned if anything they may interfere with the skunkier smells.

I echo the Bud Candy suggestion, based on my experience. I've found it really easy to add and it gives you the results it sounds like you're looking for.

Come over to Organics and throw all those bottles of "stuff" in the trash! Water, one botanical tea during veg, and one botanical tea in flower! What could be easier?

They make it sound like all fun and games until you realize they actually mean...

A reservoir, a water filter, a large air pump, air stones, worm castings, kelp meal, molasses, compost, alfalfa, comfrey, nettle, forest humus, etc. and I you want to get your soil right then look into azomite, glacial rock dust, oyster shell, Epsom salt, peat moss, maybe some guano or composted manure fertilizer.

I find both methods to be equally filled full of products while organics are much easier to succeed with, despite most organic growers having anything but a simple mixture of amendments or brews.

Word of advice on the nutes. Dont believe Genies in a bottle. You can spend endless amounts on nutes that say they do this and that.

For Bloom I use Advanced Nutrients Big Bud, Bud Candy, Carboload.

Base Nutes I use Sensi Grow and Bloom. Then I add Silica, Cal Mag.

I use the GH line, stopped using the Flora Nectar because it didn't seem to do anything.
