These hypotheses can only be proven by a great amount of scientific research and replicated results in multiple tests. In the mean time I am going to try this on my plants. The paper can be removed, no harm, no foul.

It is always necessary to attempt what has not been documented as long as it means no harm to others, in order to advance the knowledge of our collective. Do not shun this poor growers creativity! Welcome it, with open arms!

my buckets are wrapped in mylar and I use a custom cut mylar top to cover the rocks (no algae).
The idea of getting the light to reflect upwards is not new, and it does help with total crop weight. What were usually to small to harvest become real nice 'popcorn' buds.
Last crop I had this set up and better light position control, got over a 1/2 lb off 1 plant, in a 2'x4'x5' space. normally the same strain gives about 5-6 oz's, the extra light reflection increased yield with those popcorn buds (yes, tried again without, and was back to 5-6 oz's..with reflection, back to 1/2lb+)

I don't see how light from the bottom reflection will help make more tops. This sound like something to help lower growth that does not get enough light. But how would this make more tops when the light would have to travel through the plants hit the paper and reflect light ( witch I find hard to believe ) back though the the plants to the top. Not going to happen. The best mother plant. Just keep topping and more tops will come. U don't need more light for that. Y risk leaving some moldy paper that u would need to change every other day. Putting paper on the bottom of the plant will not effect the top growth. This paper idea makes no sense and this guy just sounds really high.
It makes just as much sense as painting your grow room white. flat white reflects more than 60% of usable light back to the babies. Paper is flat white. Light penetrates leaves through to the other side. The light hits the paper. The light is reflected onto the plant. Perfectly valid. RESEARCH JACKIIIIIEEEEEE

rememebr light reflected, is less useful. And in this case, it has lost most of it's chlorophyll making power before even hitting the white paper ( or panda film if your smart ).
better to just learn how to train a mother properly IMHO

light distance=light distance ..if said light waves wear out by say 24 inches .. how are they gonna be any good after THAT distance AND a refection?

This is one point where I would beg to differ. Light reflected is less useful but it is still useful nonetheless. The amount of useful reflected light also increases with the size of the lamp the light originates from.

This is quite simple but incredibly effective. Just cut a circle in the middle of a thick white piece of paper to put the stem into. The paper causes light to be reflected directly up, and many many more tops will come out. TRY IT. Not only just effective for mother plants too.

Ok, well you guys use your mental inference all you want. The fact is I have tried it many times and it causes more arms to grow from the plant. FACT.
I don't see how this is even coming up as a question.. You are turning a dark surface (absorbs light), into a 90% reflective surface.
