!!! White Skunk Feminised !!!

HI guys been away for a while moved home etc etc, but now im settled in iv decided to blow the dust off my old equipment and get another grow underway.

for those who havnt seen or herd of me before i managed to pull 19 oz dry from 3 plants using a 400watt hps. so i know what im doing most of the time but im genaly high and that can lead to all sorts of mistakes so if any are spotted or you feel you can help in any way please please mention it as in these typs of grows one tiny little thing can lead to bud rot or somthing else along them lines so any mistakes made please tell me lol

right then this time round im going for white skunk feminised i never use reg seeds waist of time and money. white skunk is a cross of white widow and super skunk so should be a nice grow, a full sativa breed if im not mistaken.. im planning on 4-5 weeks veg and then flower untill ready for the chop.. iv only got 3 seeds and the reason for this is why waist money on 10 when you can buy 3 flower 2 and then use the other as a clone mother.

my grow space is a spare room not overly big but not to small i think its 2m acros 8ft high and 8 foot long enough room for a lot of plants. or a sog wichim planning for laters..

ventilation will be 2 125 mm rvk fans one of wich will be sucking cold sir from outside and the other will be blwing hot air out of the room into the loft...

im doing a soil grow and iv used a home made medium. consiting of mushroom compost soil conditioner and vermiculite, worked wonders before and i supose it will work wonders again.

nutriants will be bio-bizz grow and bio-bizz bloom maybie with some growth simulater aswell well c how it goes.

lighting, iv started them off under a 2x18 watt t8 flouro and il leave them under it for 2 weeks then i will be switching to my lowbay 400 watt MH then for the final part of my grow a 600 watt hps..

i think that covers it all and im already into the 3rd day since the poked they head out the dirt pics to follow as soon as the lights come back on..

hi there and thanks for the comment, coming from you, i must be doing o.k lol

any ways i thought id updat the thread week by week or untillany it starts getting busy and people start requesting more pics etc etc

its been a week today since they popped there little heads out the medium so thought id put some pics up, and i must say there doing great, i mean considering im only using 2 18w flouro tubes for the seedling stage im very impressed,

one of the little ones is suffering a bit of heat stress so iv put a little multi volt fan on, running at 3 volts just enough to cool them down a bit as iv got them almost touching.

any ways heres some pics...

any comments or thoughts will be great.

p.s one more week before i blow the dutst of the 400 watt mh that should be fun. lool

iv just had a look through your thread im very interested in the lst but never under stood it, dont supose u wanna fill me in on how its done????

Its kinda like being a dominatrix. You just tie branches down to the outside of your pot evenly to make a square plant or tie just the top down in a circle around the plant if you want a more spiral looking plant. Then they all grow towards the light and are on average about the same height rather than one big cola.

i read before that you get the same amount of bud from one big cola will produce the same as 3 or 4 litttle ones. so is lst a space saving idea or is there any other perticular reason????

the idea of lst is to get equal light penetration and eliminate smaller less developped buds on the plants. A single cole plant almost always has lil tiny buds towards the bottom. It def saves space too though. esp verticaal space restricted areas

o.k but what is the risk of stressing a plant to the point in causes damage??? im very interested in the fimming or topping whats the best way to go about this. sorry guys i know alot about straight forward growing but when it comes to all this fancie stuff im a bit behind my ways??? any help would be mint...

For topping Just cut right below the new growth at the top of the stem you wish to top.

some say it causes the plant alotta stress wen done early on (first 5 lead sets) but iv never seen increased male ratios doing it personally. as for how.... goonie covered that

the first node has one leaf, the second has 3 sometimes the third has five, or sometimes it still has 3 and waits another node to get the 5 leafes... once you see the 5 leaves, use FIM ( How-To : Fimming and Topping made Easy ) at the new growth comming out of the middle.
after the 4 tops grow out a little, tie them down, just lst the shit out of it.

That's as straight forward as you can get. Sticky, don't be afraid, I've brought them so far that I've split the stalk but a twine splint keeps those growing and eventually they heal. You can also go in baby steps if you are nervous. Surf around my journal and look how I make hooks from hanger wire for the rim of the pot. Each day, switch the hook for one an inch shorter, so on. To start off though, you can simply spike the arms down with U shaped spikes. Give my tutorial a read, I think it'll really lay everything out for you.

The biggest aspect of a scrog is what Myles touched on. You bring all the buds to the same height, resulting in a bunch of pretty uniform buds (size wise). How big? Depends on the grower,strain, etc but when there is one main cola, you can only lower the light till it's close enough to be too hot for THAT 1 bud as it is tallest. If the plant is 4 ft tall, the rest of the buds are 20" to 4' away from the light. With a scrog, EVERY bud is up top, even, close to the light. It maximizes the footprint of your lighting set up.

The general argument, and there are so many variables to a grow, we'll probably never know the answer, is .....What yields more, 1 donkey dick and a bunch of smaller buds or a large amount of medium buds. All I know is I'm having fun trying to figure out the answer,lol.



again, 1 plant and it was small because it was under cfl's. Delicious,lol, but small



I'll tell ya this,...ANY new method other than what you've been doing, will have a tough time giving you the results you've had in the past. Really want to mess with such a good thing?
