A new setup for my second round in the hydro tub. Two clones of Nirvana White Rhino in a rubbermaid 33 gal tub. Vegged for about three weeks and scrog'd a little late. Last round my Nirvana top 44 turned out well, harvesting about 4 ounces, in 45 days. Temps were an issue, plus a lack of maintenance. The goal this round is at least 4 ounces , but hopefully more. A new fan and hood should do the trick. Temps are great now but the humidity is a little high. 50%-60%. Also have some of this outdoors, along with some Northern Lights!

So I noticed some spider mites today, wiped some leaves and cut a bunch, they needed a trim anyways...But the mites have me concerned. its officially been 38 days since i switched the lights to 12/12.
Anybody know of something that will work?

Those buds look great man! would be a real shame to lose them to mites.

I recently fought off an infestation myself using these..



They're available at most Hydroponic stores, if you have one near you. just use them according to their instructions on the can.

Never spray you're plants during their day cycle! Wait until everything has cooled down during their dark period, and then spray them with insecticide, giving plenty of time for the spray to dry before the lights come back on. You're plants will burn if you spray with the light on.

That helps plenty. Good looking out . Going to the shop now. Also having trouble with humidity. Guess im gonna have to get a dehumidifier.

Spidermites thrive in dry conditions, so keep it n the humid side for now, just make sure you've got a fan blowing on the buds.

well. Small batches on about 20 % of my grow. Maybe then thats why I havnt noticed them.
the humidity kept em slow...oh well hopefully that dr doom does the trick.
Should I spray in the dark?

I was looking into the Doktor Doom, but at 0.40% Pyrethrins and 2.0% Piperonyl Butoxide compared to Total Release Pyrethrum Fogger from Prescription Treatment's at 4.0% Pyrethrins and 16.00% Piperonyl Butoxide the cost different seems more logical to go with the latter if you are at all concerned with effectivness. The Prescription Treatment is twice as much as far as cost, but you get at least 10 times the active ingredients for twice the cost.

I have never used the Doktor Doom and am not sure how effective it is, but the Prescription Treatment's, no question, effective. I had thrips and continued to manually spray them with Azatrol, highly effective, commercial grade insecticide, well I got tired of spraying and "hoped" they would never return... destroyed a crop for being too damn lazy to spray again.

Used the Total Release Pyrethrum Fogger once, haven't seen them sense.. It not only killed the thrips, it killed anything that moved in the garage and forced the colony of ants from the garage, to inside the house... that sucked.

Man, try to find a Hydro Shop that has broken up a Floramite liter. There is nothing else on the market that is better for mites.

It's also $300 a liter. lmao.

yeah, you can go with a stronger product if ya want, but docktor doom worked great for me. yeah, always spray in the dark period. I've ruined buds by spraying with the lights on. (not with the docktor doom, but with neem oil)

Well the dr doom seems to be doing the trick, and the buds are gettin fat and heavy. Seems like a little to much ferts. Next go I will have to try the lucas formula. Currently just adding back full strength h2o per the directions on the bottle. Started out vegging and first 2 weeks of flower with GH nutes. But have since switched 2 Pure blend pro. It seems to keep the ph so nice, couldnt imagine living without it. Anyways heres some shots, check out the cola thats falling over,

it has been very stable between 5-6 for the past 2 weeks. Before that it spiked a couple of times. The pure blend from botanicare helps ph a lot. This is day 43 since i swithced the lights to 12/12. Gonna start to flush next week.

Well, quick update. Checked the ph 5.0, so i added 2 gals 7.0 and got a nice 6.0 ph reading. The buds are getting very dense . These are the best genetics I have grown with. The trichomes are everywhere. even on the stems. This will make some great hash

Looks like I over did the dr doom a little. Couldnt see so well in the dark, but I am continuing use every other day or so, to be safe.
