Hydro: Power Skunk, AK-47, 2x Dinafem Critical, Big Bang, White Rhino

Just thought I would start posting my journal, this is technically my second grow.... first time hydroponic. I am using bubble bucket dwc method, 3 part gh nutes, and cfl lighting.

The power skunk and ak were started earliest, the criticals are 2 days behind.

Sorry for only the couple pics right now, the taller one is the power skunk at 3 days after planting it in the rockwool cube..... the shorter ones are the criticals that just sprouted today.

anyway, I took new pics today and have a question or two.....

As you can see in the first picture, the leaf tip has turned brown...... idk if it is from a water droplet that ended up burning the tip, nute burn, or what...... ideas?

I've just measured out nutrients by tsp so far, but I got a nice little syringe today that is measured out into ml . I think I would prefer to use that, so how many ml of each nutrient should I add? I am terrible at conversions..... I use a 3 part General Hydroponics Nute Solution..... Floragrow, floramicro, florabloom. Also, what should the ec be at at this stage, the poweskunk and ak are almost 5 days old.... ?

The current ec and ph of the nute solution is pH: 5.89 ec: 1.23
The current temp and hum.: 76 F and 38% humidity
The current water temp: 73 F

Bear in mind that I am using evap. tap water so the ec may be slightly higher than avg to start with.

I have a friend and he is pretty much doing THE EXACT SAME GROW!!! i'll definately have to follow this one, your setup looks great. keep it up! Those are some killer strains, i'm suprised more ppl haven't showed more love to this post yet!

My opinion? Back the nutes way off. Only 5 or 6 days old, right? They still have fuel from the seed. Your pH is good. What's the EC of your tap water? Res temp could be a little lower, but not bad. Air temp and humidity are both ok. I'd like my humidity a little higher, but nothing I couldn't live with. New to hydro? I recommend you keep it simple. Since you already have Gh 3-part, I recommend Lucas' Formula. Familiar with it? If not - https://www.cannabis-world.org/cw/showthread.php?t=892 Smart man, he. Well keep up the posts. I'm pulling up a seat.

Nice start, I had a powerskunk going, but my Diesel Ryder's out grew her and I gave her to a friend. They grow very tall a lanky, so be prepared.

The nutes right now are almost nothing... around a quarter tsp of floragrow in each bucket. The ec as i said is high to begin with, but there is also a decent amount of ph down in the water as well which raises the ec, the ph of my tap water is between 8-9 straight from tap. so i have to lower it quite a bit. I will see about lowering the temp of the water a few degrees, I am going to be adding heating/air conditioning to my grow room as well. Yes I am familiar with Lucas' formula, and yes I am new to hydro, however I have been researching for over 3 months now and have just begun.

changed the water in all the buckets today..... it has been evaporating for over 48 hours. I lowered the ph to 5.8, the ec right from tap was .7 . I didn't add any nutes for now, I figured there would be enough in the rockwool from my other res. to hold it over while it gets a little bigger.

The powerskunk grew over a half inch last night, it is now just over 4" tall . the ak is a little over half as tall, and the 2 criticals are healthy looking but still much shorter at just over an inch. I'll put new pics up in a day or two i think.

Oh, but on the power skunk and the ak, the leaves are curling up around the edges of a couple leaves slightly......

Update: Today is day 6...... the power skunk is of course growing the fastest with the ak lagging slightly behind it. The criticals are actually on day 4, so please ignore the pictures lol I got stoned and got carried away.....

its hydro....what do you want to hear? fill water, dump nutes, make sure your PH and PPM are good...sit back and watch...thats it!

Just a quick update, the power skunk is on it's 3rd set of leaves and will be starting on it's 4th in the next day or two. Last night I decided to lst the power skunk and the ak once it gets big enough, in any case i already started to lst the power skunk, it took to it just fine and in only 2 hours or so the leaves had turned up and it looks fine now, just short

power skunk is looking good this morning, even after starting to LST, the power skunk this morning is nearly as tall as the ak again lol . the cm's are starting their 2nd set of leaves, and i finally started germinating the big bang and white rhino fems
