Attitude G13 Gigabud & Power Skunk 1st grow

Ok here’s my grow. Closet is 3x3x7 with 8 100 wat CFL 6500k mounted on a homemade light bar. Using, rock wool, peat moss, bubble buckets with air line and sight glass. 6in baskets with lids made to fit 5gal bucket. All water is PH 5.8. Seeds as follows – 5 bag seeds and 1 G13 Gigabud, 1 G13 Power Skunk. Temp is 78 with heater to maintain. Walls white, Light bar on rope pulley to move up and down. 1 gal of water and FF was mixed to 3 gal of water.
All seeds were germed in papertowels with heat added, all seeds sprouted in 24hrs expect 2, both bag seeds. Of the bag seeds I did the “water test” I allowed them to sit in water over night to see if any sunk to bottom. Only 2 of the 5 did sink. I then decided to put all 5 in the paper towels to see what would happen. Of those 5 seeds all 5 did sprout. The water they soaked in at all time was plain tap water.
The next night all 5 had broken the seed pods. All 5 came from fresh bag weed just bought by a friend, I watched him pull the seeds from the bud.
Because I haven’t grown anything I used these seeds as test seeds. The next night the G13 went into the towels, both of these came from Attitude and were freebes with my order. They 2 broke the pods in 24hrs and my rockwool wasen’t here yet so I planted 1 in a peat moss planter pot that my wife had. By luck the wool got here 2 days later and by this time the un-planted seeds had root over an inch long.

When the 2nd set of fan leaves appeared I put the plant in the bubble bucket. In the pics to come you can see it in the top of the bucket. The other G13 I waited till the roots broke threw the wool then I put into the bucket.

The 5 bag seeds I kept in the wool and tried to plant in soil. They seemed fine. I checked them after 14hrs the soil was still damp so I went to work. When I returned all plants were folded over and near death. Soil was still damp. Checking the wool reviled that the wool was bone dry. For some reason the wool didn’t pull water from the soil. I watered the wool waited 10hrs and all plants were standing. At this time I decided to do away with the bag seed. Reason, I didn’t know what the seeds were or how many were male or female. I felt that my efforts and money were best used on plants with good genetics.
I want to do LST on the 2 G13 plants and because of such a small space I didn’t think I had room for 5 bag plants. So I destroyed them.
Some of you may not agree with this action but they were really just test seeds and I wanted to know how to germ the right way before I used the good seeds. Same goes for the space issue, I may in fact have enough room for 7 total but because of space I wanna get my thumb a little green before I try 7.
Pics will follow of the 2 plants in about 12 hrs. when I get to work.

Any advise or criticism is accepted from any of you. All I have learned is from GC I have spent many weeks reading and learning here. Without GC I wouldn’t have made it this far.
I hope a few of you take a min or 2 to look at this thread, I’ve come to respect many of you on here. I understand the chance you all take to grow and bring to life a plant and an ideal that all of you believe in.

Are you using the drip system, if not then what system are you using ?
What are you feeding them, and how often, and how much ?
Have you ever considered smashing them with added CFL's , or even a 150 watt hps ( cheap )?
Where did you get those G13 seeds ?
Were they Feminized, or did you kill off a couple of dudes ?
Is your lights on a timer, I didn't see any above ?
And for that matter, is your entire system on timers ?
Do you have a good inline ?
What yield are you expecting ?
Is this your FIRST grow, or did you play around before ?

Man I'll be following this. They look real healthy so far. I like the bucket system the more i see it. I'm growing a PS as well in soil so it'll be interesting to compare.

Are you using the drip system, if not then what system are you using ?

For the veg i'm using a bubble bucket. I have a 6in basket which is made into the bucket lid. I found it on ebay. I have both buckets running off a 30gal air pump which is hooked to a 6in air stone. Drain valve on bottom with a fill elbow in lid and a hose on side with clear hose for water level. I'm going to build more and change up the design a lot and I'll post pics with all info when i do.

What are you feeding them, and how often, and how much ?

I mixed Fox farm "grow big" with 1gal of water then added 2gal of water to the 5gal bucket to reach basket level. I also spray each plant with mixed peroxide 2 times a day. 3 sprays each. 1 plant is in rockwool and 1 plant is in peat moss that came from a store bought home herb hydro kit. Got the home kit at wallgreens. (drug store go figure)

Yes I have, at 1 point I had all 8 CFL's going but my temp went up over 80. I have no way to vent any better because this closet in under ground and covered on 3 side by cobble stone. After this grow is threw we are going to move the next grow into another bigger room so I can vent better and control heat better. I have now 2 100wat 6500k CFL's on each plant with 1 2700k 100wat CFL running in background for a total of 5 CFL's.

Where did you get those G13 seeds ?

They were freebees from Attitude that I got with my order. Attitude is the shit I paid with CC and got my order in 2wks with no problems

They are fem seeds. However I did kill 5 bag seeds so far. I used them to learn to germ.

Not yet but I do have 1 ready to go. they are on 24/7 the light bar is home made and i can post better pics of it if anyone would like to see a better pic and include details of how i did it. Total cost 29.37 to make and about an 1hr of time.

Do you have a good inline ?

i'm not sure what you mean by "inline"

What yield are you expecting ?

I'm not expecting any, only to do the best I can and learn as I go. I personally feel that because this is my 1st grow if I can get any yield at all and keep my girls going then I'm doing good for my 1st time. I'm not trying to say that I don't care only that my primary concern is to learn.

Is this your FIRST grow, or did you play around before ?

Thanks for taking the time to look at what I have so far. tonight i'm changing the bucket water and adding a stronger nute soluction. I also have 2 more in papertowels and hopefully will transfer to wool tonight or tomorrow. i also have some tomatoes that i'm going to try to do. Stay tuned Widow, more to come.

Last night I did my 1st water change on the BB's. I added 4gal of Dis water and to that I mixed 3 TABLS of FF to the 4gal. This was about 7pm, checked this morning at 10am and all is well.
Temp is holding round 75 give or take. PH at 5.8
Also started to germ 2 other G13 seeds. This morning 1 had sprouted already.
When we plant will post pics.

Ok todays pics are of both plants at 3 weeks. They now have 3 100wat 6500k CFL's going 24/7 on both plants. Water, PH, Nutes all the same. I did plant 2 sprouts of PowerSkunk last night. As soon as they break topside I'll get ya some pics.

Are you using 100w replacement bulbs or is each bulb 100 CFL watts.

Most likely, you have 23w or 26w CFLs which = 100w incandescent

Therefore, you may actually need a couple more lights. Rule of Thumb is 100 watts for first plant and minimum of 50 per additional plant.

If you have the 23 or 26w CFLs, you will need 6 of them at least.

Thanks for the advise. You are right, I'm posting totals in this thread as well as using replacement value of CFL's. I currently have 8 bulbs total on bar. Each plant has a total of 3 bulbs lit per plant. Guess I'm gonna need to make another light bar. The girls seem to be doing well, "right now" but ladies are only 3in tall. I really want to stick with the CFL's so I think i'll fight them a little longer before I give up and add a bulb with some juice behind it.

how much is a 150hps?
cus sounds like a budget is an issue for this guy
and cfls are next to nothing compared to paying 150+ for a fixture
