First off.. for the legalities...I am a care giver for many people in the state of california so i currently have an exemption to S.B. 420 regarding plant numbers. But still only running about 30. Now thats out of the way... Off to the races with the girls!

So im currently running a new DIY Aeroponics system that i put together after seeing General Hydroponic's system. (in my sig)
Im Also finishing off some OG kush bushes on drip systems in rock wool.

So let me catch you guys and gals up:

My area is a 3x6 with 2 3x3 trays in it. Im running a 1000w on a light track.

Within the last week i added a co2 system that im currently controlling manually until i get it dialed in..

The strains are OG kush, Headband(sour D x OG kush x master- as far as i know), and humboldt purple.
-In the drip side i have 6 og's in DAY 43 and a few staggered a couple days after that, and also one Purple to see how they will come out. Everything looks fine on both sides but the drip side recovered from a CAL MAG def. and a couple other nute problems.

I have just become a new fan of the Lucas formula within the last couple weeks so everything from here on out is all Lucas.. I add a couple additives to it(overdrive, liquid carbo load) because they are just laying around and havent seen many problems with doing so.

In the Aero side i am running 15og's 3 Headband and 2 purple. I went with so many OG's because the way they are turning out so nicely.. The purp is great too but i just love my OG!

I have yet to see the Headband flowers but by the way they are rooting from clone, and growth rates are rediculously faster than everything else.

The aero has been under 12/12 for the last 4 days and they were grown without any veg time as the Aero side is slightly like a SOG and the plants will be grown in the "stake" method. One main cola. After the drip is over i believe i will switch the whole system to Aero and add 4 more tubes and make it an official SOG perpetual harvest in AEROPONICS!!

My moms are under a 400w MH but werent looking too healthy so no pics of them

quick update.. I just checked my trichs on the day 43 og and they are looking about 40% cloudy. I think i will begin to flush them today or tomorrow. Im leaving on a trip on moday the 16th til the 20th so i will not be able to harvest until then. That will leave me at about day 52 and the trichs should be perfect! Ill keep it updated! peace

1 how do u grow from seed?
i see plants stricktly in rockwool on the aero side

2 does the roots grow smaller in aero?
not too much space for tham in those small pipes on the right
are u going to use bigger diameter for the flowering aero unit?

3 when are u going to flush?
what will be the signal for a flush time?

4 how do u grow moms?
whats wrong with em?

once again the setup is awesome

They are actually just in 4 inch rockwool cubes, with mini rockwool cubes around for added root space in 1 gals(i think) Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks dafinestsniper! Im sure you could grab one of those on ebay, or from any hydrostore online. The regulator is from C.A.P. Its just a 20lb tank with a reg. not too advanced

Hey Screw!
1. Im growing all from clone.. The clones were given no veg time at all. Just straight into 12/12.
All of them are in rockwool, but ony the 1" cubes. Once they root you put them into the net pot with Clay pellets around the one inch cube and pop it into the aero unit. I clone em in propagation trays and cant get my diy ez cloner to not leak, so i still do it the slow way

2. Yes that is one of the drawbacks of this system that i still may have to fine tune. But i guess i will find out if it is enough root space. Im gonna have to look for a new enclosure opposed to 4" PVC. But this is where the girls will spent their whole lives for now as they are in day 5 i believe of 12/12

3. I think im going to start my flush within the hour. I noticed that about 40% of the trichs are cloudy so hopefully by the end of the flush, whether it be 7 days or 14 days, the trichs should be turning amber.

4. I grow my moms in my 400w MH room on drip, also powered by the lucas formula. Just like the girls on the left in pots with rockwool mini cubes inside. No nothing is wrong with them, they are fine now, i just left my timer on "off" and when i went inside the mom room for pics they were droopin a tad. But now they have perked up and should be photogenic

Ya man i cant wait to install the other pieces of the aero so i could pull 5 plants a week!

Sorry for such the lag for an update.. I just got some time so here goes..

I harvested 4 large OG's and one small humboldt purple three days ago. That is when all of these pics were taken.. The buds were lookin great and some of the OG tops actually turned purple The humboldt purple turned out great but was very small due to the short veg.

I have run into a couple problems with the aero system.. Their is not too much root space but the plants are showing insane growth rates. About .75" per day They all have started to show signs of buds but there are many things i would have done different if i could have..
Things i would have changed:
*Used a larger PVC tube- 6" or larger
*Not ran the 1" tube inside. I would have just mounted the sprayers in the top or bottom of the main tube..
*I should have ran all of the same strain because you will see in the pics, my headband is almost 2 feet tall now. and i need it to stop growing so the others can catch up

There were many thing i would have changed in the aero and i will next time.. So if you wanna try aero perfect this idea and make it much more efficient and more root space.

Purp that's some good lookin shit you got there and awesome aero setup. I might try that in the future, it looks easier to maintain than hydro and since the water recirculates I'm assuming you dont need as much water in the long run... (i.e. I use 3 gallons per bubble bucket for 4 plants so 12 gallons and you probably have 20 gallons in your res for like 12 plants). Correct me if I'm wrong.

Either way awesome shit man! +rep

they actually might use the same amount of water in the long run since DWC and aero are pretty much cousins in the hydro world I use a 20 gal resi for 20 plants but i have had to add water already and its only been 10 days. they drink a lot.

Aero is great but make sure you perfect your set up before you start.

I am actually going to switch one side of my grow chamber to dwc and try growing out a beastly Og bush. Stay tuned
