thats what i meen by "recirculating the watering system"
that was designed to water and recirculate at the same time by a single pump

sorry about that screwd - I will use smaller words in shorter sentences

I get what your going for and a pump wont heat up the res all that much (mine doesnt) a little bit sure but not enough to fuck anything up (usually)

you see where you have the nutes going back into your bucket? if the end of that line (or pipe, whatever it ends up being) drops the water through air for 10 inches before it falls back into your res you have waterfall that will keep your res aerated. and then you wont need an air pump

seems to me the problem you will run into is how to keep the nutes aerated enough for storage without watering the plants continuosly (you cant do a continuos drip into dirt it will never dry out)

just my .02 buddy I could be wrong but I doubt it

i got it man
but how do i do it constantly?
ill have to drain shit that overwaters the dirt.
i think its harder for me in new invironment than the 100% dirt.
and that is bringing me back to all those hydro/liquid problems

i wanted to keep it all as simple and as stealth as possible
thats why im not shure about waterfall.
ill make the cab, put the sound isolation in place and see what i can hear
if the waterfal is not loud enough - ill keep it (if not - air stone)

thanks for .02 buddy)))

SOIL recipie #1

ok people!
ive finished some readings and here is my soil plan:

1 foot tall pot with 1/2 inch layer of hydroton on the bottom
2 soil mix all-purpose soil (N 150 P 270 K 300 grams/kilo) 45%
3 vermiculite 35%
4 earthworm castings 20%
5 1/2 inch layer of hydroton on top to reduce evaporation and
let roots grow in the upper layer of soil.

6 i was advised to use root stimulator so
it will be a little dose of hydro nutes in the first half of veg stage

7 BAC Funki Fungi (mycorhiza) is going to be used as well
not shure about time and dosage yet

8 i dont want to use hydro nutes
so im going to buy japanise organic nutes
(sticks u stick in a soil and it slowly decomposes as u water)
i cant read shit in japanise but there is 2 types of those nutes
VEG and FLOWER - so looks like there wont be any problems here.

9 im also going to pack a little medi kit with
a) calcium nitrate
b) hydrophosphate
c) Epsom salt

to fix defs and shit
a bit sceary so maybe ill get some readymixed shit like
those bottled shit (found 0on the web)
not shure what i can get in a local store

FERT - (N-P-K) - Type - Use
Alfalfa Pellets (3-1-2) avg release 40g/sq ft
Corn Gluten (6-0-0) avg release 15g/sq ft
Compost (1-1-1) slow release 125g/sq ft
Bird guano (10-3-1 variable) fast release 25g/sq ft
Cow manure (2-0-0 variable) avg release 60g/sq ft
Horse manure (5-2.5-6 variable) avg release 20g/sq ft
Soybean meal (6-1.5-2) avg release 20g/sq ft
Worm castings (1-0-0) slow release 150g/sq ft
Kelp (1-0.2-2) fast release 15g/sq ft
Insect manure (4-3-2) fast release 35g/sq ft
Fish emulsion (5-2-2 liquid) fast release 1ml/sq ft
Cottonseed meal (6-2-2) avg release 20g/sq ft
Bone meal (2-11-0) slow release 25g/sq ft
Blood meal (12-0-0) fast release 10g/sq ft

10 the baby is gonna sit in all-purpose soil mix (N 150 P 270 K 300 grams/kilo) mixed with vermiculite untill its time to repot. im going to repot once when the plant will be 2-3 weeks old.

11 for economy and purity im not going to use any BOOSTERS, SPRAYS, FINAL SOLUTIONS or other expansive crap))))
tell me if its a bad idea)))

12 im going to flush with tap water and let them dry in shock before harvest

so here is the deal)
what u think GC?

soil questions #1

u dont have to answer if ur not shure))))

1 do i need to do some heat or sun treatment to my soil
before i start growing to get rid of unwished bacteria and paracite eggs.
im talking about proper packed soil tho. just want to be 100% shure no shit brakes out and infects my plants.

2 do i need spray nutes?

3 how big is the buildup threat in case of constant watering with hydro nutes?

4 what do u think of germinating the seeds in rockwool peaces and then sticking the cube into soil? (i saw they doing it with clones)

5 do i need ripen or other stuff? in case of 100% organics?

6 please imagine yourself a first time soil grower and share me some tips)))

7 how do i make shure my soil mix have settled ph and completly ready for growing?

peace

Re: GANJAPOCALYPSE NOW! (various strains in dwc under cfl + hps)

soil questions #1

1 do i need to do some heat or sun treatment to my soil
before i start growing to get rid of unwished bacteria and paracite eggs.

As far as I know - no you do not need to worry about it. I never have

2 do i need spray nutes?

NEED? no.

3 how big is the buildup threat in case of constant watering with hydro nutes?

Hydro nutes - lower NPK values are harder to buildup in soil. afaik - you almost cant cause buildup with organics unless you really try

4 what do u think of germinating the seeds in rockwool peaces and then sticking the cube into soil? (i saw they doing it with clones)

Not ideal but it works fine (my little plants are in rw cubes and soil right now)

5 do i need ripen or other stuff? in case of 100% organics?

No

6 please imagine yourself a first time soil grower and share me some tips)))

Feed lightly and make sure your soil drains really well!

7 how do i make shure my soil mix have settled ph and completly ready for growing?

Measure the ph of the runoff (the ater that comes out through the bottom of the pot)

peace

you too bro!

btw - I have never ever grown fully organic but dirt is dirt

Re: GANJAPOCALYPSE NOW! (various strains in dwc under cfl + hps)

Dude that sounds PERFECT man , a little bit of everything is the way to go. Be very light on the Manure and compost. I would add Dolomite lime ( soil sweetener) as well to keep the PH in check. I feel this is the main reason soil growers get away with not checking PH. Foxfarms is rich in dolomite lime.

Thoses beneficial bacteria are the best way to stimulate a living growing soil environment. There is a product i'm very fond of called Rainbow mix Bloom & Grow. This All organic mix contains 7 different species of mycorhiza also. It's pretty much everything you listed all pre-mixed without the harse and not yet decomposted manures.

yo man make it ez on urself.... get ffof soil get advanced nutrients or get the 1 part supernatural grow terra and bloom terra fert there veg is 20 20 20 with all the micro nutes u need there flower is like 10 30 15 again with all the micros u need i can guarontee you if you just toss the ffof in a pot stick a clone in do not pack the soil let your first watering do that use the pot idea i suggtested to moniter the amount of water in your soil then every watering with supernatural use 1/4tsp per gallon and water till theres a 20-40% runoff of what u added and u will have very good herb a simple recipe for good steady chronic... then from there start altering your fert mixes your soil consistancy to make your herb even better try this on 1 of your soil plants i bet would make u happy... using supernatural i like to water with normal water for aprox 1.5-2 weeks before harvest another awsome product soil seems to love is kool bloom from GH puts on the crystals add an 1/8th tsp or so on top of yyour bloom mix per gallon per water and aslong as u getting enough runoff like i said 20-40% of waht u poured in u will have no problem with ph or fert buildups as supernatural and advanced nutes have a ph buffer that seems to make any strain ive done a happy camber... i used this setup for the first 4 years that i grew some of the best herb i ever did came from this exact method
