Tbug r u saying I should change the res every day??

Im guessing plants store nutrients as a survival mechanism, if they had evolved since creation with an "IV tube" of nutes at all times, the perfect level to do the photosynthesis and all the other shit they need to do, then would they still store nutrients? Im guessing not. But thats impossible so they all store nutrients, right?? So the question to me is whether or not I want all of these nutrients out before I harvest. Im talking all the N out of the leaves, etc. I really dont know the answer. Do these stored nutes play a role in the curing process?? If so do u want a lot of them for a good cure, a little?? None?? If all the N is gone will that eliminate all possibility of getting that "chlorophyl" taste?? Ive only been growing for about a yr now so I really dont have enough experience to tell, so I guess thats y Im looking to others with more experience and following thir lead.

Im curious to know what you all think aobut it, or what u may have heard. I forgot if Earl flushes. Guess Ill check.

I chose 6.0 because thats what upgradeshafted does and Id love to get results like his.

I was surprised by the lack of buildup in the res. There was only hydroton powder on the bottom of the res. nice.

Got some shorty pics. Ones real cool and the rest are ok lol

Check the funky colors!!

lol not sure why Im getting this but its pretty cool. My soil plants throw me all sorts of strange leaves.

Shes pretty white in there, lotsa lotsa pistils and some calyxes starting to form underneath. The calyxes are COATED but small and underneath. Im lookin forward to this next month with her.

Another 517 formation pic, not the best pic, shes givin us the finger lol.

Crazy leaves I know, but the new growth is lookin healthy. I get this yellowing with my soil runners every time, I dont know what Im doin wrong, probably not enough of an N jumpstart.

So the flush started for the OG at day 55, hopefully this was a good idea and ill get some good flavor and primo buds outta her.

K yall lemme know.

Chuck im over half amber on the top buds only. Dont think Im gonna harvest in sections but I might.

AW u know Im breakn balls homie

U were hittn my threads even back then I think man, fuck yeah doob!!

Yeah I might have too much bud lol, WISH I could dropkick a Shorty cola over somewhere to the SE if u feel me. For scientific testing purposes only, of course.

lookin good man!
I donno maybe it's just me, but something about the yellowing and dying leaves that just tells me "i'm done".. i don't like harvesting with all green leaves.. just don't seem right lol.
by the time u flush, everything should be perfect.

congratz dude.. this was a long time coming for you

yeah dude stored nutes play a HUGE roll in the cure process (imo) Ive harvested the same strain with all green leaves, and with all yellowed and dead leaves.. the yellow guys smelled like it's supposed to while the green smelled like "homegrown"
you really wanna get everything out of there if possible..

i don't really do a proper flush with my soil stuff.. but i hardly feed it towards the end anyway, and if i do it's mostly organics.

and yeah earl flushes too.. he's pretty anal about the whole flush and ripening thing from what i remember.
he's the only one who really shares my philosophy about bud ripening.. maybe it's a old man thing i donno

nice man this backs up my confidence in my decision to flush

Those colors on shorty are crazy huh?? U think she might be an early finisher?? Im thinking she might still need a month or 3 weeks or so. I could be wrong. She looks pretty mature???

could be man.. my SD does the same exact thing.. i'm in the same boat as you.. can't tell if it's an early finisher or if i was stingy on the nutes.
Regardless.. we both seem more than happy with the results were getting.
