growing salvia divinorum

i know i know this section if for marijuana but i cant think of anyplace else to ask. anybody here growing salvia? i got a question. so I hear you can cut off a couple leaves and root them to grow your own plant. HOW? i wanna grow with soil so im thinking of cutting off a section and putting it directly in soil? will this work or should i root it in water? also, if you know how should i go about drying the leaves??? all help is thanked for

Im assuming your talking about cloning. Its alot harder than you think. Fisrt you need a rooting hormone, usually available at lowes or walmart. Second you need a living salvia plant to take a cutting from. Third you have to know where to take the cutting from (ie: secondary). Take a look at some cloning tutorials and that should clear some things up, do a search.

Do you or a friend have a plant? if not search around on google theres many places selling clones or even live plants for pretty cheap. But the seeds are very rare so you will probablly have to clone one or get a live plant.

salvia d/ is VERY easy to clone. Just bust off a piece and stick it in the dirt. Or, bust off a piece and stick it in a glass of water until you see roots, and then stick it in the dirt.

those FLUOREX lamps I'm always talking about.

Just a note to all that keep PMing: I'm just a customer of that place. I know the owner ‘cuz he lives by me; but, I can't answer questions about shipping or stuff the dude can get – you have to ask him. I invited him here but he doesn't want the risk.

Be very careful that you have the right strain of sally. I have alot of experiance with sally and she can be very tricky. Make sure you have the right climate and equipment to handle it. Take a pic of the plant and post it, and I will let you know what strain it is.

just because its salvia doesnt mean its salvia divinorum there are hundreds of salvia strains and only divinorum is the active one and it also the hardest of them to grow. i can guarantee that its not divinorum growing in her front yard.

Hard to grow? Maybe in Penn. Around here I have to cut it back (and yes, it's salvia d.)

Saliva does not require a lot of humidity. This misconception continues to be perpetuated, despite many people acclimating the plant to a lesser humidity. In southern cali, we have a moderate amount of humidity, but nothing like the southeast or Mexico or something. It grows all over my property without any issues whatsoever.
