help choosing a strain for specific grow box

hey guys, i just was wondering which strains would work well with this setup. it will be in a box this size:

the light i have is a 1000w HPS. i would like to get maximum yield with maximum quality since i only can grow over the summer. im not sure which would be best; one large plant in one bucket, or like three 2-gallon buckets with different strains in each.

any help is much appreciated

EDIT: oh, and i want to have everything done as quickly as possible, so quick-growing, high-yielding, high thc content strains are what im looking for

1000w is going to be over kill in a box that size. Are you going to be using a cool tube? If not, how are you going to control temperature?

If you've never grown before, you should be more concerned with learning to grow than maximizing yield. Really, everyone wants a quick-growing, high-yielding, powerful strain. A better choice might be to look for a forgiving strain that will allow you to figure everything out.

What are the dimensions of your box? The more info you give us, the better we can help.

A 250 hps/mh would be enough. and you need to get it started now man. 3 months isnt alot of time to give yourself, considering atleast 2 months for flower, and a week to get everything set up, a week to germinate, plus its got to veg atleast 2 weeks imo, but you could start flowering it right away, but it cant start flowering untill its mature enough anyway, i dont know man, i wouldnt grow anything if i had a time frame like that too work with.. maybe lowryder, 8 weeks from seed to harvest, thats 2 months bro for the easiest , quickest strain to grow.. a sativa will take longer in flower than in indica, so atleast get an 100 percent indica and start asap.

you're looking for about 50w per square foot. With a 2x3 footprint you want about 300w. A 400w light needs to be a couple feet from your plant to keep from burning it and produces a good amount of heat. For a box that size I'd suggest a 250w hps max. If you want more, then add some fluoros or cfls.

And 5 gal buckets are about a foot wide, so at the max, you could conceivable put 6 in there. I think a pair of bubble buckets with LST would do well. Or use rubbermaid containers instead of bucket to maximize vertical space.

My bad, bubble buckets or deep water culture is a hydroponic method, generally using 5 gallon buckets. For some reason I assumed you were planning to go hydro. Hydro will grow quicker, but requires a lot more attention and can cost more to setup depending on how you do it.

And NL is a very good starter strain. I don't now about NLxBB, though.
