Help my plants arent growing :(

the sprout popped out of both of them and i planted it facing down and coverd it with about half an inch of soil. i waterd it every 4 days checking the soil to see how moist it was and if it needed water.
on the 5th day they both surfaced, and started to grow.
I am planning on growing these inside and then transplanting them outside to grow for until the end of summer.
after they surfaced, they were kept in a cabinat with no light until they grow about 3 inches long. i then took them out and put them on my window sill.
they havent been under any lights except on my window sill, which gets only 5 hours of light.
the embryonic leafs opend and insde there are 2 marijuana shapped leaves, but very small on both plants.
the steem continued to grow and the plants were both really tall, approx. 5 inches.
i filled the pots with more dirt so now they are back to 3 inches above ground.
i also gently tied a stick to the steem because the previous height caused the sproutlings to bend towards 1 side
they have remained on my window sill since then, and it has been a total of 10 days and there has been no growth at all. the ebryonic leafs have gotten slightly bigger on 1 plant, but nothing has happend to the other. neither plant's marijuana leafs have grown either.
the plant doesnt appear to be getting taller either.
they dont look dead they are still green and now they are getting 12 hours of sunlight everyday since my friend took them to his place in his backyard.
why arent they growing? the tempurture here is 10celsius and i read that when its under 15 the growth rate slows.
but how dramatic is this?
how big should my plant be after 10 days?
any input would be appreacited, thansk.

i bought 5 purple kush seeds for $50.00 (good price?) and germ'd 2 of them.

Mainly, the light is your problem. The window sill is not a place for mj plants. You want short and bushy plants from the start, not tall lanky ones.
Everything I post is purely hypothetical and definitely not truthful to any degree. I'm simply an individual who has read enough about a topic to regurgitate information to the general public for educational purposes only. COME AT ME BROS

Seedlings are alot more sensitive to temps then an established plant. They need to be kept at a minimum of 77 degrees till they get established and need far more light then just a window sill. Putting them outside may have stunted them and will take quite a while for them to recover if they do..
77 fahrenheit is 25 celsius. in my region it doesnt usually reach that tempurture until late june early july. i was miss-informed, as i was told that the end of april-begining of may would be an okay time to sprout them and then transplant outside but i think its too cold.
the plants are staying outside 24/7 and over night the temp. drops to near 41F.
again, they dont look dead at all so im praying that they will still grow.
neither my friend or i have the ability to keep them indoors under lights because it is too risky for us.
so i guess its more of a question of:
1) should i plant them now outside so they can get direct sunlight, and take a chance with the low tempurtures?
2) or crank the heat up in my house and take them back and put them on the window sill again (i could push for 8 hours instead of 6)?
I know both are important, but under my circumstances i feel i must choose 1 soon before its too late.
thanks for the feedback so far

take a look.

as you can see they look under-developed, and sadly the more promising of the 2 bent and partially snapped( not off) near the top.
is the bent 1 still usuable or no?
i still do have 3 remaining seeds, but with all the input in regards to temp i have been recieving, should i just wait until June to germ and retry this again? im really anxious to get this going.

how much sunlight is direct on them and how much is indirect? direct sunlight is really what you want to count. Before you go germinating your other seeds, pick up a book and read through these forums - looks like you have a bit before temps are ok anyway, use that time wisely! you don't want to be down to zero seeds with nothing to show for the money you already invested!
edit: also you should never have to prop the plant up like that... if it's leaning and needs a prop, something is wrong (in this case far too little light)

they're not getting enough light at all... you shouldn't ever see that much stem popping out

well i guess im gonna scrap these ones then. well atleast the bent one. im gonna plant the other one outside just to see what happens.
as for the other seeds im gonna wait till its alittle bit warmer. im also gonna use new soil (this was from the ground) and since it will be warmer i can put it in my grow area which will recieve 12/12 hours:hide:
thanks for the help everyone.

well, they were previously getting 5hours because i wasnt able to keep it on my window sill for longer durations (rents are nosey) so i moved it to my friends house and he has it sitting on his patio in his backyard ( still in the pots). its out all day and it gets direct and indirect light totaling 12hours.

77 degrees is ideal growing temp inside and when starting seedlings inside is a good temp to try and keep them at. All you need to get them a good healthy start for outside is to veg them a little longer inside. You only did two so that shouldnt be to hard, a couple of 27 watt daylight CFL`s, a Y splitter and a clamp light from Home Depot and a out of the way place inside will do them alot more good right now. You could put them in like a closet that you dont open much or at all when the lights are off for its dark period would work and the CFL`s since you can have them within a few inches of the plants should keep them warm enough if your place doesnt stay to cold inside. Right now where I live I am waiting for the night time temps to get in the mid 50`s before putting my plants outside in the ground but mine are established. It`s nice and unusualy warmer during the day for around here this time of year here where I live, its been in the 80`s so I put mine outside for the day but bring them in at night because its getting down to the high 40`s and occasional low 50`s. For the first 2 weeks or so for seedlings all I use is what I already mentioned above for stuff from Home Depot. So if you got about $20.00 I would goto Home Depot or Lowes and pick up 1 clamp light, 1 Y spliter light socket and 2 27 watt daylight CFL`s.

you might as well plant both in the soil leaving only a little bit above ground... the broken one may well sprout roots where the break is and at that point you'll be good.
The break is about 1 each down from the begining of the leafs. i dont think it will grow and if it does it wont properly; might not even be worth harvesting...?

So 1 CFL (27watt) is sufficient for 1 plant, well atleast at this stage (sprouts)?
And by veg u mean i shud 12/12 it with the CFL's? or more Light less dark?
The smaller of the 2 has slowly been growing its leafs larger, the broken one is dead now i think (im gonna plant it today anyways to the part where its broken)

1 CFL (27watt) will do but just for a short while for the seedling stage, maybe a week after that you will need to bump it up to 2 or more but for sustained veg growth your gonna need around 100 watts of CFL light, thats about 4-5 27 watt CFL`s.
