Yellowing spreading up my plant.

Still working on that wonderful first grow. One of my plants is just now starting to have yellow leaves, from the bottom and spreading up. The plant is about 7 weeks old. I read that it should be a nitrogen deficiency but 3 days before it started yellowing I'd given it miracle grow (15-30-15). a few days before that i let it stay completely dry for a day under good strong light and it wilted but I watered it and it sprung right back. I want to fix this yellowing problem before it affects my whole plant.

Just as a note, even on the sets of leaves that are yellow, the small leaves by where the buds will grow are still green.

Is your plant in flower (12/12)? Your fertilizer that you described there is for flowering. Also, do you have pictures? Also, what type of light are you using and when have you fertilized. I also wouldn’t let the plant get too dry. You know that the plant is ready for water when you stick your finger about an inch deep and it is dry. Also, the weight of the pot is a good measure of when to water. A plant is difficult to over water if there is sufficient drainage at the bottom of the pot

You may want to try posting this in the "sick plants and problems" forum, or asking the mods to move it for you. It will probably get more attention there. Also, try this link and see if anything looks familiar to you.

Yes, my plant is in 12/12. I've got it on a timer so it's more like 12:15/11:45 but close enough. No picture and no digi cam so not promising that I'll get them. After about two days of watering it's doing better. I don't know if it took a while to absorb the fertilizer or what but the yellowing is reversed, which is good.
