Is it a dumb idea to just put the seeds in to the soil with out germinating them? Like plant the seeds outdoors during the spring.

Honestly, Ive had about the same success rate as I do when i germinate it. It will sprout or not. Now a friend was telling me about scrapping seeds but you must be very careful, this will aid them well in germinating in a wet napkin

thats how weed plants have been growing for thousands of years. i dont think seeds just magically flew into 2 sheets of wet paper towels and flew back into the ground. it will work pretty much just as well.

germination definitaley increases your chances,but if your lazy or don't havethe time, it won't make a very big difference. Germination is usually important when you have like 10 $50 seeds and you want them all to grow for you.
