HELP! First grow

Well my main question is, do seeds freshly sprouted placed in soil need light? right now i have my sprout in a styrofoam 16oz cup sitting in front of my heater (not much light) becuz it is turning winter here.
my second question is will regular light bulbs produce enough light in a 2x2x2 space

As long as the first set of leaves has not poked above the soil you do not need light. You will however, need it the moment they sprout above ground. Oh and no on the second question. you need flouros at least.

[edit] Im working on a first timers guide at the moment. I would be happy to give you a copy as soon as its done. pm me if you are interested.

Wal-Mart... 2 cool white bulbs it will say 6000k somwhere on the package and a 4ft fixture (if you have the sapce) will get you started for $20. Good luck with your grow.

you could probably line up at least a dozen 4 inch pots under a 4 foot flourescent fixture, about 6 6inch pots.

Have fun!

You're going to need more light during flowering.

I grow pot dude, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the basics such as lighting. I mean I'm not an expert but I can tell you that if you do any research at all on your own you'll confirm what I've said.

One or two flouro bulbs won't get you though flowering. In fact, in the past I've tried flowering with 2, 4ft strips and 7 compact flourescents all within inches of a single plant, and the yield was awful.

Do yourself a favor, and read up, it will answer all sorts of questions and help you with things that you don't know to ask about.

Good luck
