My White Widow Grow

IM into day 5 of my grow.
IM starting them off in the propagator under floresants.
I dont want tall plants so ive put them on 12/12 now so they go into flower slowly.

I have a MH 400 light and wondered if and when i could use it.
Plus can i use different bulbs in this kind of unit for flowering?

Its a soil grow.
Originally i was just going to do the whole grow on flouresants.
IM thinking now to maybe use the higher power lighting.

I would like to hear your thoughts.

I wouldent start them into flowering after about 2-3 months of vegging. Ditch the flourescents and use the MH now. Get a HPS for flowering.

Can i get hps bulb for my mh unit or do i need a whole new unit?

Will it be ok to switch from 12/12
What would be an ideal light time under the mh?
18/6 ?

verg using 18/6. For atleast awhile, or you won't get any yield.

You do alright, flower them now and they will grow slowly for another 2 weeks

first week carefull with the light (bit higher then normal, from second week on full power

Ive decided not to use the mh light this time.
IM just going to use my flouresants.
They have growlux tubes so should be ok.
I just want to take it easy as IM not ready to start dealing with heat problems and extraction ect all of which i will have to deal with if i go mh or hps.

If all goes well i will clone then use hps.

So IM leaving things on 18/6 until i get near the right hight i want then i will put them into flower.

One thing i was wondering is,when IM ready to flower can i ease the plants into it by reducing light an hour a day until IM down to 12/12?

So from 18/6 to 17/7 to 16/8 and so on, would take about 6 days to get down to 12/12.

i ve grown the WIDOW a few times and ALWAYS used a HPS start to finish..
I wouldnt go str8 to flower-- let them develop in 18-6 for atleast 2 wks you NEED a robust stalk with these...

a buddy did this no veg thing w/ a clone i gave up n that was the first WW i watched grow LST style n it was awsome.....ive done it to everything ever since.....

maybe this is your ticket---YOU CONTROLL THE HEIGHT-by tying them down this also promotes WAY MORE BIG BUD!!!!

USE THOSE FLOURO'S IF YOU HAVE TO BUT i would veg under the MH then bloom under a combo of MH/HPS if theyre available..

Just thought I would give an update.
The plants are at day 15 now and growing slowly with a good few leaves appearing.
IM using two 2 foot flouresants with growlux tubes.
The light fixtures cost me a tenner each from B&Q.
I had to wire them up myself so i bought a small 5 meter reel of 3 core wire with two 5 amp plugs which brought things to 15 quid.
The grow lux tubes where £6 each although I could of used the tubes that i got with the fixtures if money was an issue.
However its interesting to see the colour difference between the two lights with the grolux being more blue which is better aparantly.
Five pots cost me £7 with saucers a bit expensive but i was being lazy.

I could of chopped down plastic 4 pint milk cartons down and put holes in the bottoms for a free option.
I also aquired some flower buckets from Asda but decided not to use them because they are just too big.

I also bought some proper soil called ALL GROW www.biobizz.com
IM planning to buy a HPS bulb when IM ready to flower which IM planning to do in another 10 to 14 days as IM not after big plants.
