Hey all,
Quick question. How red should the white hairs turn? My buds are looking sweet, and I think they are so close to harvest!

The hairs on my plant have all started to turn red. They are not a deep red by any stretch, but the colour is definitely there. For the most part the hairs are a pale colour with a red (pink) stripe up the middle of each hair.

When 75% of the hairs are brown (or red) it's time to harvest (beware of fungus which is also brown but will kill you're buds) If you don't use any fans then the fungus can't spread.

I was actually referring to how brown (red) to let them get. Do I harvest as soon as 75% of the hairs start to turn brown? Or do I harvest when 75% of the hairs are a deep brown (red) colour?

I do not remember where I read this, I think it was here but I am not sure. Anyways I read that if you harvest a plant early you will have a more UP and energy high, but if you let the plant get mostly red / brown hairs that you will get a more relaxed and clam high. I am just wondering if this is true?

If you harvest to early the weight is less.

It's got nothing to do with taste or thc level

The drying does, the longer you dry it the better it gets

75% or so of the hairs on my buds have turned a light tint of brown (definately not white anymore), but the colour is not a deep brown. It is more of a light shade of brown.
