| Making hash - I have a question
OK, so I've read the threads about making hash and have just put a whole bag full of leaves (prob about 5 oz undried) through my food blender with iced water and loads of ice. I've made them into mush, have poured the mush into a huge bucket with more ice and I've stuffed it all into my fridge. I then went to look for some papers for my coffee filter - only to find that I don't have any! So - besides coffee filters, what else do you recommend I pour the sediment through to separate the hash to dry it? Thanks folks

HIGH All thing is to beat it with a mixer not a blender...useing a blender will break up the leaf too much and it'll leaf small particles..you just want to beat the trics O.F.F.F. cburykyle07 and Bopper..use a filter or silkscreen to filter it once more..hopefully it'll work.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Unoit - damn, makes sense looking back but I used a blender. Anyways, as I didn't have a filter I just left it in a bucket in my fridge - much to my other-halfs amusement (or complete lack of - lol) anyway, I pulled a lot of the stalks out yesterday as well as the surface scum but later today I'll go see what's settled at the bottom. I will keep you posted. Thanks folks, appreciate the ideas.

OK, so I blew it completely! Went to strain my greens today but all I was left with was a green slush - bollocks! I'll try and remember the difference between a blender and a food processor next time although I spose using a liquidiser was always going to be a mistake. Damn, damn, damn!
