ok i want to go buy this 150 watt h.p.s. bulb at a store for 20$...it will screw right into a fixture i have at home..it is the standard size that will screw into ur everyday household fixture...well i right now have a cfl in this normal size fixture like 10 inch reflector thing. well if i buy the 150 watt h.p.s. bulb and replace the cfl with the h.p.s. will it work in the normal fixture...like would a 150 watt h.p.s. bubl work in a normal lamp fixture....or do u need some gay special fixture that is a lot of money...cuz i just want to buy this 20$ h.p.s. bulb and screw it in to an everdya fixture like you would with any old light bulb....would this work

no you cannot screw it in a lamp.

you have to buy a 150 watt HPS ballast. HPS lights need a surge of electricity to "ignite" them. thats what the HPS ballasts do. You can pick one up on ebay for $50-$80. make sure you get a HPS ballast, not MH or MV.
