cold weather and tropical strains
It is really cold around here right now. Has been for about a week and I'm sure it won't last long. I've got my plants in an unheated back room in my house. I time the light cycles such that the lights are on during the coldest parts of the day. But it still gets really cold back there. Yesterday it got down to within a couple degrees of freezing.
Does anyone know what cold temp damage looks like on a plant? My upper leaves are discoloured in a way that suggested to me that the plant is P-deficient. The leaves gradually developed a reddish colour and have become more brown since. I have been hitting my plants on a weekly basis with a high-P fertilizer (10-52-10) and it has done nothing for this problem. This is why I think it may be cold temp damage.
I am growing Haze, a tropical sativa. Perhaps this stuff is very sensetive to cold?
Today is day number 56 of flowering. Still a couple weeks early according to the time frame that the seed bank gave me. I think I might chop one of my plants today just in case I am killing them.
